Children's Coldcalm Pellets Review and Giveaway

8:02 AM

Happy weekend everyone! Hopefully you are spending it with a HEALTHY family. Both of my babies are having trouble with colds again and I am doing the vicks, vaporizor, nasal spray and warm and cozy jammies contstantly wiping noses routine. I don't mind it though...I just feel bad for them. Having sick children is hard ~ I would much rather be sick instead of them!!! (Oh, yes...I forgot...mommies are not allowed to be sick.)
I was so happy when this next product came in the mail. It came at just the right time with all the sickness in our house right now. Children's Coldcalm Pellets are homeopathic medicine pellets that dissolve in the mouth and are to be used when your child has a cold and all the nasty symptoms that go along with a cold.
Children's Coldcalm Pellets is a product that was developed by Boiron, a company that focuses on homeopathic medicines for adults and children. Boiron is also well aware of the environment and uses great care in preparing these medicines.

The Boiron Group has a strong sense of obligation to respect the environment. The preparation of our medicines has limited impact on the environment. The main effects derive from extracting raw materials (continuity of species gathered), water pollution (mainly organic and biodegradable) and waste. As a counterbalance, Boiron promotes re-supplying wild or organically-farmed plants when possible. This sequentially improves the quality of raw materials used. Additionally, the Boiron Group works with 120 botanist-harvesters. These specialists are well-versed in diagnosing the land and employing harvesting strategies to anticipate continuity of supplies for the future. They generally harvest plants from their natural surroundings, which are then used fresh and wild in accordance with the balance of nature and the specifications of the principal pharmacopoeia.

What I think is very noteable is the fact that Boiron promotes organic plants and that those plants are used in their medicines.

So, on to the Children's Coldcalm Pellets. You may be wondering why they are called "Coldcalm Pellets". Well, they are designed to soothe and "calm" a child's cold symptoms such as, sneezing, runny noses, nasal congestion and minor sore throats. How they work is like this: Designed for children ages 3 and older...at the onset of symptoms, take 5 pellets every 20 minutes for 1 hour. Then, take 5 pellets every 2 hours until symptoms are relieved. Allow pellets to dissolve in mouth. The reason for taking them this way is because the pellets address specific symptoms are each stage of the cold. I think that is pretty neat.
I tried several of these pellets and they were sweet and very nice in flavor. I think any child would LOVE them! The container is pretty easy to use...just twist the cap until 5 pellets have been dispensed into the cap. Then, invert the container, carefully remove the cap and there you have your pellets!

I am already a big fan of homeopathic medicines so this children's medicine is a GREAT addition to my medicine cabinet! My daughter is only two, so I will check with her doctor before giving these to her, as it is recommended for children ages 3 and older.
Another great benefit of Children's Coldcalm Pellets is the fact that they are non-drowsy and there is no risk of overdose or interactions with other drugs.
Each package of Children's Coldcalm Pellets contains two tubes of approximately 80 pellets each. Also, Boiron provides an adult version of this same medicine...it's also called Coldcalm, and is in tablet form.

So, in my opinion...Children's Coldcalm Pellets are a great way to treat children's colds. With all the scares going on right now with traditional children's medicines, it is nice to know you can have peace of mind with Boiron's medicines.

Boiron has offered to give away a package of Children's Coldcalm Pellets to one of my readers! If you have children or know of someone who has children, you are going to want to win this!
