So, here comes another oral care post! This one isn't about bad breath, but rather about your toothbrush! Do you even KNOW how many germs are on the head of your toothbrush? I don't think I want to know. There are probably bazillions. I read somewhere that every time you are sick, you should change your toothbrush as germs can hang out for weeks afterwards! EWWW! I think there is a better way to keep your toothbrush clean without having to change it every time you get a sniffle.
Violight is a very unique and special product that sanitizes your toothbrush using ultraviolet light. This concept was totally new to me as I have never heard of a product that does anything close to this! So, I was very excited to get the opportunity to review and share my experience of this product with you.

So, why should you use Violight for your toothbrush? Read on...

Your Toothbrush Cleans Your Teeth. What Cleans Your Toothbrush?A single toothbrush can harbor millions of microorganisms, which translate into harmful bacteria — bacteria that thrive in the warm, moist environment of the average bathroom. VIOlight stops these microorganisms dead in their track. Independent studies prove that the patent-pending VIOlight system eliminates up to 99.9% of bacteria that thrive on your toothbrush. That's millions of microscopic bugs that can cause flu, colds and other illnesses, zapped in minutes!
For this review, I was sent the Violight Countertop Toothbrush Sanitizer. I am THRILLED with this product! First of all, it looks really sleek. It has a metallic gray look to it and a frosted top. This Violight product is made to hold four toothbrushes, which is why I chose it. The Violight Countertop Toothbrush Sanitizer comes with all you need to operate it and best of all, this particular model doesn't use batteries! YAY!!! That is soooo great! The secret behind the Violight is the Ultraviolet bulb that is included. Assembly is super easy...all you do is screw in the bulb just until you feel a tiny bit of resistance. Then, you place your toothbrushes in with the bristles facing the bulb. The little blue "VIO" button on the front is the on/off switch and once you press that, the bulb slowly turns on and stays on for 10 minutes while your brushes are sanitized. The Violight turns off automatically as soon as the time is up, so there is no need to set a separate timer.
As far as if it works or not, I don't have a way to check my brush for germs. :) But I can tell you this...anything that helps keep my toothbrush cleaner than it usually is (whether I can SEE it work or not) is a good thing!!!

You should really check out the Violight product line as it is very exciting, innovative and fun. There is alot to choose from and you can pick the product that suits you best.
