Ella's Kitchen Review and Giveaway

6:45 AM

***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***

Meal times around here are pretty interesting. My daughter eats until she is full then spits out what is left in her mouth (yeah...any suggestions on how to stop that one?). My son gnaws on just about everything that lands in front of him. Whoever said that eating with babies and toddlers can be gross...was right. My son is 9 months old now and enjoys all of the food that I prepare him. I am careful to make sure he gets a balanced meal (but have not yet introduced him to meats) complete with fruits, vegetables and rice cereal. He is not picky...which is so great!

I was so excited to discover this next company while surfing the internet the other day, and was even more excited when I found out that they were going to be sending me some of their products to try!
Ella's Kitchen is a really cute company that provides moms with healthy meal solutions for their babies. When I say healthy, I mean 100% organic yumminess!

Here is a bit more about Ella's Kitchen...and about Ella!

Here we passionately believe that Ella along with the rest of her generation, should get the opportunity to eat better and healthy foods. This all came to pass when my daughter, Ella, was little and I was trying to find the perfect foods for her to eat - healthy, delicious, and easy to pop into a backpack for our on the go lifestyle. I couldn’t find anything that fit this description, so my family and I went to work!

We believe eating can be fun, tasty, and cool for kids. We take a “kid’s view” when making all our products from the color, texture, and flavors. In fact, it was a child’s idea for the smoothie names – yellow one, red one, why not right? Makes sense in a kids world and that’s what we aim to do – make kids feel safe to try and enjoy healthy foods in a fun way!

We have two ranges currently available in the United States: oursmoothie fruits and our Ella's 1 baby food.

For this review, I was sent 12 pouches of Ella's Kitchen Organic Baby Food. WOW! I was pleasantly suprised. Check out these amazing combinations...
From the Ella' 1 Baby Food Category:
From the Fruit Smoothie Category:
The Red One (strawberries, raspberries, apples & bananas)
The Green One (apples, pears, bananas & kiwi
The Yellow One (bananas, mangoes, apricots & apples)
The Purple One (black currants, blueberries, apples & bananas)

Ok. So, did you see that?!? Pumpkin, Black Currants, RUTABAGA??? I have never seen such wonderful and healthy combinations!!

These pouches from Ella's Kitchen are so convenient. All you do is screw off the cap, and squeeze the contents into your dish. If you are going out then you just throw one or two pouches in your diaper bag and serve it up warm or cold...either way is yummy!
Tonight, Jacob had a VERY good dinner. I decided to feed him the Broccoli, Pears and Peas food. I squeezed the whole pouch into a bowl, heated it up and then mixed in a bit of rice cereal. He ate the WHOLE BOWL...in under 10 minutes. He LOVED it. Here are some pictures of him enjoying his dinner...

Does he look like a happy camper or what? The best part about Ella's Kitchen baby food is that it is 100% organic. That means that there are NO preservatives or thickeners, NO high fructose corn syrup, NO dairy, egg or wheat, NO lactose or gluten, NO added water, and NO lumps or bits.

It's also really helpful to know that once you have opened a pouch (and your little goober hasn't eaten the whole thing up in one sitting like mine!) and you have leftovers, you can freeze it for a later date. All you do is either pop the whole pouch into the freezer, or squeeze the remainder into ice cube trays for small and perfect sized portions.
So, in my opinion...Ella's Kitchen is a fantastic company! I LOVE the foods that I was sent and think that the fruit and veggie combinations are awesome. The nutritional value of each pouch is wonderful and I don't have to worry about Jacob not getting a well-balanced meal. I am loving it!

Ella's Kitchen would love to give a case of 12 yummy pouches away to one of you! This case will contain what mine did. Here are your entry options!
