Try Me Iced New England Coffee Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

6:15 AM

***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***

My morning routine includes coffee. I have been drinking decaf as I am a nursing mom and found the caffeine really affected my babies. So, I made the switch to decaf. As soon as my babies were weaned, I was back to my caffeine and LOVE it! The flavor is fuller and the little boost to my morning is always welcome! Some mornings it is hard to get going. So, when I sit down to do my Bible reading I always have a cup of coffee sitting next to me. It's funny because my daughter knows my routine too...when she sees my coffee in my hand, she tells me that it is Bible time. She knows! :)
My coffee of choice has always been New England Coffee. I love their decaf blends and the Hazelnut Creme has been my favorite. A friend introduced me to their coffees several years ago and now, that is all I drink. I also find that New England Coffee has a fresher taste and really smells great before, during and after brewing. It is also a nice change to offer guests something different.
New England Coffee was established in 1918 in Boston...and is still going strong after over 90 years of quality and delicious coffees. Here is a bit more about this outstanding company...

New England Coffee is owned and operated by a third generation of the Kaloyanides and Dostou families and has been providing quality and service for over 90 years. Our beliefs in the highest standards of customer service and product quality have been passed on in the true tradition of family business.
In the early years, we were located in a building at the corner of Milk and Broad Streets in Boston, where hand-roasted coffee was delivered by horse and wagon. Our first truck was purchased in 1918 and other family members started to join the business. In 1966, after outgrowing several homes in succession, we finally settled into our present location at 100 Charles Street in Malden, Massachusetts.
Today we occupy five buildings and have hugely expanded our manufacturing and packaging capabilities. While we've grown to become New England's largest independent coffee roaster, our philosophy and goal are still the same - to buy and sell premium coffee and provide the best service possible.
Our methods are not cutting edge. In fact, they're antiquated by most people's standards. And we wouldn't change a thing. It's the only way we know how to make sure that you'll always enjoy a consistently great cup of coffee.
As fine coffee becomes more and more integral to the American way of life, we will continue to indulge you with our consistent tradition of good taste.

I am not picky when it comes to my coffee. However, after recently discovering iced coffee...I have become the type of person who loves FLAVORED iced coffee. If you have not tried your coffee over ice, I highly recommend it...what a treat it has become for me!!
For this review, I was sent three bags of Try Me Iced coffee varieties from New England Coffee. I was sent the Blueberry Cobbler, Peach Cobbler and EyeOpener Blend flavors.
The first flavor that I was very eager to try was the Blueberry Cobbler. When I make iced coffee, I usually brew a pot of coffee first, then let it cool. That is what I did with the Blueberry Cobbler.
After the coffee cooled down, I poured myself a cup and added some ice cubes. I prefer a bit of flavored creamer with my coffee, so I added some of that as well.

When this coffee was brewing, it smelled AMAZING. I love blueberries so you can imagine what this coffee must have smelled like...heavenly! My Blueberry Cobbler iced coffee was delicious. It was refreshing and really tasted good. New England Coffee recommends doubling the amount of grounds you use for your normal pot of coffee...that way the flavor is not lost or diluted. This method makes sense...and they were right.
When I made the Peach Cobbler flavor, I used the method discussed above and it was definitely a stronger cup of iced coffee. This flavor is really different and I do like peaches too. I would say that the peach, while very yummy, is not my favorite. I am a blueberry gal...so you all can guess which flavor is my favorite. :) The EyeOpener blend is a combination of Colombian and Central American beans with a French roast flavor to it. This was also a very yummy tasting coffee...no real special flavor to it but very delicious none the less!

On New England Coffee's website, they have a really wonderful recipe section on which you can find some yummy recipes for iced and hot coffee treats. One that I would love to try is the
Heavenly Iced Mocha...wow. That just sounds sooo amazing.
All of the New England Coffee flavors can be found at your major retailers and grocery stores and retail anywhere from about $7 to $10 per bag. This is not a bad price considering the options you have when it comes to fixing yourself a cup of coffee...hot or iced!
So, in my opinion...Try Me Iced New England Coffees are the BEST! I am already a huge fan of New England Coffee so being able to try their flavors iced was just whipped cream on my sundae. These flavors are amazing...with many more choices available that I still need to try. Whether you like your coffee hot or iced, New England Coffee has the perfect flavor blend for you! Check them out today and see what they have to offer you!

By the way, if you check out the New England Coffee Facebook page, they have a special offer going on right now. You can get a free 24 ounce tumbler when you send in 4 UPC codes! Check it out today and also see what else they have to offer in way of special deals and promotions!
