Holiday Gift Guide ~ Fill a Need This Season Through World Vision's Gift Catalog {Giveaway}

8:38 AM

I try every day to remind my children of how fortunate they are to live in America. We truly have need of nothing. When I was younger, my mom would always tell me to eat everything on my plate because there were children somewhere in the world who had nothing to eat and would give anything to have just a bite of what I was going to throw out. It sounds silly but it is so very true. When I went on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic, we visited villages that were so poor, they had no indoor plumbing. Their toilet was a hole in the ground with metal sheeting propped around it for privacy. These people who live in poverty-stricken countries deserve so much and yet are thankful with so little. I am going to present an opportunity to you that will give you and your family a chance to make an impact in someone's another part of the world.
This Christmas, it isn't an iPad or Kindle that you can's a goat, chickens, fresh water, ducks and so much more! Thanks to World Vision, you can share the love of Christmas to needy children and you have so much from which to choose! World Vision now has a Gift Catalog that you can browse and select gifts that you would like to give some needy people in different parts of the world. Here is a bit more about World Vision and their mission of love...

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.We serve close to 100 million people in nearly 100 countries around the world.

World Vision serves all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.Wherever we work, our prayer is that our efforts will be used by God to heal and strengthen people’s relationships with Him and with one another. We do this by demonstrating God’s unconditional love for all people through our service to the poor — which includes providing for daily needs, working to build peace and promote justice, and partnering with churches and individuals to encourage spiritual transformation.

I have known about World Vision for some time now and just recently, received this gift catalog in my mailbox. How coincidental! I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to share this organization with all of you!
So, for this review I was sent some Hand Carved Serving Spoons and they are soo beautiful! They come in a pretty drawstring bag (hand-sewn from local African women) that protects them and also makes a wonderful bag in which to gift them!
These particular spoons are made out of 100% Olive Wood and the detail is wonderful. They certainly do not look like something you would purchase at your local Walmart.
One of these looks like a round fork, and the other looks like a spoon. You could use these for serving leaf or pasta salads and other dishes. They would add so much to any table!! Better yet, you could tell others about World Vision simply by using these spoons. What a great conversation piece.
Through World Vision's Gift Catalog, you can give the gift of clothing and shelter, emergency aid, education and so much more. All you need to do is visit World Vision online and peruse their catalog. If you are a family, why not consider adopting a child this Christmas? I can promise you that your children will learn to give more than they ever have in the past and gifts like these will make an impact in a life that you may never meet in person. How wonderful!!

So, delay no longer...visit World Vision today and see how you can help. It is so easy and there are many gifts from which to choose. Make a difference and make this Christmas extra special for someone miles away.
