Helpful Hints for Shaving

When it comes right down to is, there are some things in life that we just have to do. Whether we enjoy those things or not is irrelevant-they still need to be done. Shaving is one of those things. There are very few men out there who do not need to shave and those men should count themselves lucky.
My husband just happens to be one of those guys who really hates to shave. He will only shave two to three times a week (or if I bug him about it sooner). I think part of the issue is that he has sensitive skin and nicks himself easily. If you have a guy in your life who hates to shave, I have a few hints to share with you today that could make his task much easier.

1. Use an electric razor. I think that electric razors are probalby the most effective and efficient. Most, if not all of them are very gentle on the skin and are designed to make shaving comfortable. The only down side to these razors would be the expense of replacing the blades when they get dull. My husband had an electric razor but when the blades went bad, we didn't replace them due to the cost.

2. Use good-quality shaving cream. They make some really great types of shaving creams and gels today and you can find one that fits your skin type exactly. I know that as a woman, I love to use shaving creams that are designed for sensitive skin. I seem to have very sensitive skin and so having this type of cream helps me alot.

3. Make sure you are using good pre shave techniques. Wetting the skin prior to shaving helps to soften the hair and make it more flexible for the shave. My husband does this and it helps his shave to go much smoother.
So, those are just a few (of many) tips that I have to share when it comes to shaving. It definitely is not a totally enjoyable part of life, but it can be made better when you have the right products and techniques.

This is a sponsored post for The Art of Shaving, however, all the points and views are my own.

NOVICA Review

Do you like handmade things? I do! I think it really showcases someones creativity and adds some sentiment to the item. When I give gifts, it means sooo much more to the recipient if the gift was handmade. When travelling internationally while I was in high school, I loved collecting handmade things. From the Dominican Republic, I snagged a GORGEOUS painting as well as some lovely necklaces. From Spain, I brought home a stunning sweater that was burgundy and had silver shimmers throughout the material. So, I do have an appreciation for handmade things...especially from other countries . This is where my next company comes in! Meet NOVICA! I first saw NOVICA on another blog that was conducting a review and I was really impressed by this company. NOVICA's goal is to give world-wide artisans an opportunity to expand and grow their artistic talents through the internet's community of consumers.
