Why I Need My Phone Charger

Back when I was in high school, I was a homebody. This stemmed from severe homesickness that I had experienced throughout my child hood...I would not go anywhere overnight. My mom picked me up from so many different slumber parties, it was very embarrassing. When I was nearing graduation, an opportunity arose for me to take a trip to California. Wow. California was a LOOONNNGGG way away from where I was living, I wasn't sure I could do it.

The time came to commit to my trip and I decided to give it a try. I was terrified, but also really excited at the same time. Packing was not hard to do as I knew I would be going to a warm place so I didn't need alot of warm clothes. My lifeline to home was my cell phone, and I was not going anywhere without it. Because I was going for a week, I knew that the battery would not hold so I would have to take my phone charger with me. It was one of my "top of the list" items and I just could not forget it.

When my day of departure arrived, I boarded the plane with butterflies in my stomach. I was definitely nervous about going on this trip, but I was so excited about the potential of being independent for a whole week. The week turned out so perfect...I was soo glad that I had decided to take my phone charger with me as I was able to keep in touch with my family while I was gone.

So, all in all it was a fantastic trip. I loved being away and most of all, I loved the fact that I had overcome my homesickness...so much so that later on in my young adult years I took several overseas trips. It was worth it!!

This is a sponsored post for Goal Zero, however, all the points and views are my own.

NOVICA Review

Do you like handmade things? I do! I think it really showcases someones creativity and adds some sentiment to the item. When I give gifts, it means sooo much more to the recipient if the gift was handmade. When travelling internationally while I was in high school, I loved collecting handmade things. From the Dominican Republic, I snagged a GORGEOUS painting as well as some lovely necklaces. From Spain, I brought home a stunning sweater that was burgundy and had silver shimmers throughout the material. So, I do have an appreciation for handmade things...especially from other countries . This is where my next company comes in! Meet NOVICA! I first saw NOVICA on another blog that was conducting a review and I was really impressed by this company. NOVICA's goal is to give world-wide artisans an opportunity to expand and grow their artistic talents through the internet's community of consumers. Here is their mission statement: We want to give artists and artisans aro...
