Summer is coming and the hot weather will be here sooner than I care to admit. Along with all that hot weather usually comes a ton of sunshine. Don't get me wrong...I LOVE the sun. But, I am very fair skinned which means I become a lobster in a very short time out in the sun if I don't wear sunscreen. My daughter is also VERY fair skinned like her momma and loves to be outside. She loves to play in her pool in the summer and usually it is out in the direct sunlight. Needless to say, she doesn't get to go out in the pool unless she is slathered in sunscreen.

MelanSol 100% Natural Sunscreen is a all-natural antioxidant sunscreen that is free of chemical active ingredients, synthetic preservatives, colors and scents. It is also non-greasy and great for your skin. I don't know of many sunscreens like that!
MelanSol was invented by Peter Zahner who experienced basal and squamous cell carcinoma skin cancer first hand...he knows what the sun can do to your skin if it is unprotected! Here is a bit more about what is so special about MelanSol Natural Sunscreen...

It is specifically formulated to help prevent sunburn and the kind of skin damage that can cause these two non-lethal forms of skin cancer. It accomplishes this by helping your body protect itself in two different ways, instead of just one. Your first level of protection is zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, natural active ingredients that safely reflect a high percentage of UV rays away from your skin. Your second level of protection, and the reason why MelanSol® sunscreen is so revolutionary, is a special combination of potent all natural antioxidants that help your body fight the buildup of free radicals--rogue molecules that form on your skin when its exposed to UV rays. Free radicals are the cause of sunburn and long-term skin damage that can lead to basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma skin cancer. Recent studies have concluded that chemicals contained in traditional sunscreens can be harmful to your body and the environment as they decompose--possibly contributing to skin cancer. Your skin is the largest organ your body has and what you put on your skin is absorbed directly into the bloodstream.
For this review, I was sent the MelanSol 100% Natural Sunscreen in three different SPF strengths: SPF 10, SPF 25 and SPF 30. SPF stands for "Sun Protection Factor" and so the higher the number, the better protection you will get. SPF 10 is recommended for casual everyday use and SPF 30 is recommended for children who spend alot of time outdoors and in the water. It is also recommended for adults who have fair skin (like yours truly!) and also for those who are involved in sports. Oh yes...if you are into skiing-this is the sunscreen for you! You can get burnt pretty bad from sun reflections on the snow. My husband skis and can attest to that!
Some of the things that I really love about MelanSol 100% Natural Sunscreen are:

~It is waterproof. So that means when I put it on my daughter, she can go out in her pool and it won't come off.
~You can use it on your lips. This is wonderful too because the lips get overlooked when applying sunscreen and they need protection too!
~It will not burn your eyes! I think that this is my favorite part about MelanSol. Especially when it comes to using it on children. I am so afraid of getting sunscreen in Hannah's eyes so it is good to know that if some accidentally ends up in her eyes that it will not burn.
~The scent is very pleasant. This sunscreen has Green Tea in it and smells so great!
The color of this sunscreen is different as well. It is a light brown color...not white like I am used to seeing. The color doesn't matter to me though; I look for practicality!

So, in my opinion...MelanSol 100% Natural Sunscreen is truly a wonderful product. Because I have very fair skin I am really loving the fact that this sunscreen will give me the protection that I need to keep my body from getting burned. I also like the fact that MelanSol is safe to use on children and I am definitely going to be using this sunscreen on Hannah this summer.

    I would chose the Natural Moisturizer because, I can mix it with my foundation and it not be to heavy. Because of all of the peels and skincare I use .. I have to wear a sunscreen.
