Sniffle Season is HERE...Help Your Littles!

6:17 AM

My daughter does not have any outdoor allergies...yet, that I can tell anyway! She is a pretty healthy child. My hubby on the other hand, sneezes all the time and is an asthma sufferer. So, I am wondering if this is genetic? Is Hannah going to suffer like her daddy? Well, I am really relieved to know that if she does, there is a product on the market to help her feel better and enjoy her play time out side...and in!
Children's Claritin Syrup is a product that is formulated especially for children ages 2-6 years. This is very exciting for me because there are few products for children within the 2 year age bracket. My daughter is 2 1/2 and basically has to suffer when she is sick because there is nothing out there for her!

This product from Claritin relieves symptoms of hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. Symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes and itching of the nose and throat.
I love this product for two reasons...

#1. It is GRAPE flavored. My child (along with most other children) LOVES fruity flavored medicines! I do not have to fight her when it is time for medication...which is a big plus!

#2. It is NON-DROWSY. This means that I can give it to her during the day without worrying that it will zonk her out in the middle of play time!

The key ingredient in Children's Claritin Syrup is Loratadine...an allergy relief ingredient that is found in many allergy medications.
For this review, I was chosen as a BzzAgent to test and review a full sized bottle of Children's Claritin Syrup in grape flavor as part of the Children's Claritin Syrup Campaign. This allergy medicine is dye free so it is clear in color.
My daughter (like I said) doesn't have allergies but I let her have a sample taste to see if she would like it. Good news- she LOVED it and wanted MORE. I put it high up out of her reach so she could not help herself. Even if she could get to the bottle, it has a child-proofed cap that prevents her from sipping when momma isn't looking!
Children's Claritin Allergy Syrup retails for about $10 a bottle, but will last you awhile if you only use it as needed. You can purchase it just about anywhere as well...I know Walmart carries it for sure.
If you would like more information about this product or printable coupons you can visit Claritin's webpage and you can also visit Claritin on Facebook. Like them there for news, information and exciting deals for Claritin!

So, in my opinion...Children's Claritin Allergy Syrup is a must-have for allergy season! Parents, you will truly love giving your child the relief that is found in this wonderful product! If my daughter ever suffers from allergies, this is my remedy of choice!

  2. My little brother and sister have no allergies, thankfully, but the only medicine they take is grape-flavored (not cherry or anything else). So if the problem were to come up, I'm happy to know its non-drowsy AND grape-flavored :)

  5. I love Claritin too especially this time of year. I have never given it to my kiddos but my oldest boy suffers for seasonal issues and it probably would be a good idea to start. Thank you for the information.

It is a great day at Mom to Bed by 8. Make sure to stop by and say, "hello" sometime.

  7. My hubby has seasonal allergies - hope our daughter won't. While I want medicine to taste ok enough to go down without a fight, I don't want it to taste too good where they want it just because. (I was like that with some orange flavored cough syrup as a kid. Tasted like candy and I'd fake coughs trying to get it!)

  8. Its great that they finally made something nondrowsy for kids. When mine were little, anything they took would zonk them out for the day. I hated it.
