When I was a child, I remember times when my sisters and I used to dress up. Most of the time, we dressed like fancy ladies in beautiful dresses. (I gotta laugh here..once I paraded down the street with my friend and I was wearing a see-through bathrobe...AKA...Lingerie! I wore it over my other clothes and I told my friend that I thought people would say that I looked like I was coming from a wedding!!! Hey...it was pretty and I didn't really know the difference.)
So, now I have a little girl who loves pretty dresses. She wears dresses exclusively so getting her to wear pretty dresses is a cinch. We do not celebrate Halloween here in our home, nor do we answer our door on October 31st. So, wearing costumes never appeals to us. But, we do love to dress up! Hannah is almost old enough to understand what the idea means, but in the mean time, she parades around in mommy's shoes, clothes and is seen sporting an old purse of mine from time to time.
Costume Supercenter is a perfect resource for anyone looking for a costume. Whether it be for playing dress up, or for other occasions, Costume Supercenter has you covered! I know of people who have Thanksgiving dinners at their churches and dress up as pilgrims for that. Or, there are groups who have parties that are themed in a way that you need to come dressed as a certain character or "thing". Very fun! :)
When trying to choose a costume for my daughter, I immediately went to the "Princess" category. I was looking for a specific type of dress. We don't do Disney, so any Disney costumes were out of the question. Costume Supercenter has a wonderful selection of princess dresses, so I was finally able to decide on the Toddler Princess Juliet costume. It looked so pretty and I was excited to see Hannah in it!
The day that it arrived, I was soooo excited! I immediately opened it and showed Hannah. She was oooing and ahhhing over it UNTIL I tried to put it on her. I don't know what the problem was exactly, but she screamed as soon as it was on her. My only thought was that the netting under the silky material was scratchy and felt strange to her. She looked SO cute!! The colors are gorgeous and the gold and purple look so elegant together. The Toddler Princess Juliet costume comes with a pretty head piece as well, and Hannah LOVED that! I have the dress hanging in her room where she can see it so maybe someday, she will want to wear it again! Sooo, I LOVE the dress, but Hannah does not...which is OK. We are working on getting her to like it too! :)
Costume Supercenter also carries some really great Renaissance costumes as well as very nice Colonial costumes...perfect for Thanksgiving!
If you would like to keep up with Costume Supercenter, they are on Facebook as well as Twitter. I'm sure they would LOVE to have you visit sometime!
So, in my opinion...Costume Supercenter has some really wonderful costumes! I was surprised by the nice selection of toddler and infant costumes and noticed that they have something for everyone. The prices are reasonable so you don't have to worry about breaking the bank to make your child look adorable...YAY! Great store, great costumes and great deals!!!
