Saky Sacks Review and Giveaway

Have you ever seen those reusable shopping bags? They are usually green, with a logo on the front somewhere, etc. You know the ones I am talking about? I have several, but never use them because I can never remember to take them with me and because they get in the way. They are too big to just stuff into the diaper bag too.
Well, this next company is going to help me with that problem...and they are going to get me looking stylish at the same time!!!
Saky Sacks are stylish "on the go" bags that are made out of Dupont™ Tyvek ®! You can use them for carrying just about anything for any ocassion. Going to the gym, shopping, college, lunches, a day at the beach, picnics, etc. They are made to carry up to 25 pounds; so don't worry about over loading your Saky Sack! Tyvek ® is a very unique material as it is stain, water and tear resistant. So, you don't have to worry about ruining your stylish bag. Saky Sacks are also machine washable so if you spill something on the inside (or outside), just throw it in the washing machine and you're done!
What is really unique about the Saky Sack is the way that it scrunches up into a compact little bundle. I was shocked when my Saky Sack arrived in such a small envelope. Upon opening the package, there was my bag...all folded in a tight little bundle! Saky Sacks are designed to be squished, smooshed, scrunched and wadded up. Each Saky Sack comes with directions on how to re-fold it after use. It also has a very stylish silver buckle that keeps it folded. The buckle also helps keep the bag somewhat closed when in use.

Here is the story of how Rupa Wickrama came up with this great and innovative bag...

"After a successful career in the fashion industry, Rupa Wickrama was looking for a meaningful change in her life and saw a niche for fashionable shopping bags. Unable to find a multi-purpose bag that was both functional and stylish, she decided to design her own. With the intent to create a tasteful and affordable collection of bags that would become an indispensable accessory for women everywhere, Saky Sacks was founded in 2009.

Rupa’s inspiration for the Saky Sacks designs come from her travels around the world and her extensive collection of tribal textiles and rugs."

There are several different Saky Sacks styles that you can choose. The City Saky is a shopping bag sized bag that measures 15" x 14' x 7.5" in size. Then, there is the Saky Weekend bag and that one measures 15" x 18" x 7.0" in size...so it is slightly larger. Also sold on Saky Saks website are Sakcessories. These are perfect for holding your cosmetics, wallet and other "important things" that you want to carry in your Saky Sack. Because the Saky Sack is one large "pocket", you may have to dig for something that is smaller. So, the Sakcessories make this task a little easier.
I was sent the City Saky in the Ikat Red design and it is gorgeous! The colors are vibrant and stunning...this bag looks NOTHING like a shopping bag! I can think of TONS of uses for my Saky Sack. Having small children, I am always hauling stuff with me to church, friend's houses, the library and shopping excursions. This bag will be a very useful and welcome addition to my trips with the children!
