"I'm Having Twins" and "My Twins are Coming Home" Books Review and Giveaway

Like I have said many, many times before, my daughter LOVES to read books. She is so intense when I read to her and she really loves colorful and bright pictures. We don't always read the words as she is so taken by the pictures!
I have two adorable books to review today and they are authored by a 12 year old girl named Paris Morris who lives is San Francisco.

"Paris is a typical 12-year-old girl living in the San Francisco Bay Area. She enjoys musical theater, guitar, and going to the movies with her friends. She has inspired four books currently in print and is working on five additional titles involving children's travel to New York, France, Italy and Hawaii. These books are called "I'm Having Twins" and "My Twins Are Coming Home"."

When read together, these two books tell a story about a little girl who is soon becoming a big sister...to TWINS! As the books progress, you read about the transition that Paris goes through while adjusting to the time before and after the twins are born.
"I'm Having Twins" tells the story of how Paris' mommy is expecting twins. Her mom is very tired and needs bed rest. During this time, Paris spends some quality time with her daddy and gets to do some really fun things with him while mommy rests. The ending of the book shows Paris' mom and dad driving away while Paris waves from her grandparent's porch...obviously, her parents were going to the hospital! I can see how this book would really help prepare a child for another sibling coming home.
"My Twins Are Coming Home" is all about after Paris' twin siblings are born. Paris gets to visit them in the hospital and enjoys getting small gifts from visitors coming to see the babies. (Great idea for helping children to adjust better and not get so jealous when a new baby is born.) This cute book also focuses on what happens after the twins come home...including sharing the attention with family and visitors.

I think that these books are so wonderful for children. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed reading these books and thumbs through them at least twice a day. She LOVES the pictures, the stories and seeing the babies. The reading is easy and the thoughts are simple enough so she can understand them.
"My Friend Paris" has a beautiful website on which you can print coloring pages as well as request free stickers and other great stuff. You can also sign up to receive email newsletters and browse the selection of books that Paris has authored. Visit the Paris Store to view other products that are offered from this great company!
So, in my opinion..."I'm Having Twins" and "My Twins Are Coming Home" are wonderful books. They are bright and colorful and really hold the attention of any young reader. I am so glad that I was sent these books to review and that my daughter loves to read them. They are educational and prolific...truly lovely books!
