Hard to believe that it is almost the end of May already! Weren't we just buried in snow yesterday? We have been getting our garden planted and have been enjoying fixing up the yard for the summer. Getting things ready for the summer is always something that we enjoy and our children love being involved. So, with it being May that means one thing. It is Celiac Awareness Month ! Fortunately, our family doesn't suffer from this or any other food-related allergy or disease but I know several people who do and it isn't a fun thing. People who deal with Celiac Disease have to be so careful what they eat and even, what their food touches. If their food comes in contact with anything containing wheat or gluten products, they can get very sick. I have a good friend who is like this and it is difficult for her to get people to understand just how sensitive she is to gluten. Next month, my baby girl will be celebrating her FIRST birthday!! I feel like it was just yesterday when I first held her in my arms. Can it really be that a whole year has flown by already?!? Wow. Baby Rebekah as been such a different baby from her siblings. She has breast fed differently, slept differently, LOVED to be swaddled, and loves to sleep with me. Every baby is so different but she really takes the cake. One thing that she has NOT done is eat baby food. As you all well know by now, I am a very busy mom. As we keep adding children to the family, my time becomes more and more precious. My children love to snack and I find that the biggest snack times occur after their afternoon nap time. Why they need a snack at this time I don't know but when I break out the snacks, they are pretty happy campers. I try to find healthier foods for them to snack on but around here, that is not always easy.
