For those of you out there who are moms, you know what horrible messes children can make. If you were to ask me about how my children are at making messes, I would sit you down with a cup of coffee and ask how long you had to listen. Yes, I live with a 4 year old, a 2 year old and a 5 1/2 month old so my days are full of all sorts of messes. The most recent was my son and daughter were playing a little game I had created for them. They were digging through a bowl of uncooked rice looking for small things that I had hidden in the rice. (Hey, it was a rainy day and they needed something to occupy their time so I could get some things done.) Anyway, I had a phone call come in and so I went in another room to answer it. When I came out several minutes later, I found my 2 year old sitting on the floor with the rice all around him...not in the bowl I had originally put it in. Sooo, I must have swept my kitchen at least 4 times that day as I kept crunching dried rice underfoot.

My children are also pros at getting their clothes super dirty. Dirt is attracted to my son and so it just comes with him when he comes in from playing outside. I also tend to get pretty dirty during my days. My son spits up all the time and if it is not spit-up, I am usually sporting some other form of baby body fluids on my clothing. So when it comes to choosing my
laundry detergent, I tend to favor those with stain-removing capabilities. When I started reviewing Purex, I knew right away that I had found a good detergent.
Being that I am a Purex Insider, I get to review brand new products from Purex and today, I have the wonderful opportunity of introducing you to the newest member of the Purex family...
Purex Plus Oxi! This detergent combines three stain-fighting enzymes to get the most power when it comes to removing tough stains. It also can be used as a pre-treater for really nasty stains.
So, for this review I was sent a full-sized bottle of
Purex Plus Oxi and I already knew what I was going to try it on. I have an older white shirt that I love for every-day wear. It has a few stains on it but recently, I discovered that I dripped Italian salad dressing on it.
I never really treated the drip and so it has had a chance to soak in. So I guess I was really putting this
new liquid laundry detergent to the test. :) You can see the stain right below the neckline.
Before washing, I added a small amount of Purex Plus Oxi to the stain and rubbed it into the fabric. I let it sit for about 5 minutes then threw it into the washer with the rest of my laundry. I was not very optimistic at this point, but wanted to give it a try anyway.
Well, after the shirt came out of the wash, I could still see the stain. It was much lighter than it was, and for that I was thankful. I knew it probably would not come out entirely but that just tells me that if I have a fresh stain, it probably will work marvelously!! I think I did stretch a bit trying to get it to work on this old stain but now I know and am really excited to see how it works with other stains!
Purex Plus Oxi is brand new, and might not yet be available in a store near you. But, keep your eyes peeled because once it is available, you are going to want to give it a try! I am already a loyal user of Purex products and so this one will definitely be a must-have in my laundry detergent arsenal!
So, in my opinion...I loved trying out Purex Plus Oxi! Even though it did not completely remove the stain that I tried it on, I know that it will work nicely on fresh stains as long as I tackle them right away. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone out there who is dealing with
tough stains...especially moms!!
Sooo, I have been given three coupons to giveaway to three of my readers so you can get your very own bottle of
