I don't know about you, but I love using products for more than one purpose. I am a huge multi-tasker and love anything that will help me do more than one thing at once. My job as a mom has given me so many opportunities to be creative and today, I want to share some ideas on how you, as a mom, can put a lanyard to use in more than one way!
The first way you can use a lanyard is more of a humorous idea that I came up with for those of us who have large families and have trouble remembering who is who. Make some custom name tags with your children's names on them and then have the children wear their name tags using lanyards! This way you won't forget who is who and you won't be calling one child by another child's name. Now, aren't you glad you stopped by to read this today? I just knew you needed a smile! :)
Ok. So, another idea that I had for lanyards was to attach your keys to them. I hate having to dig through a purse or large diaper bag looking for my keys. It is so much easier to just have a nice long lanyard with the keys attached onto it so that all you have to do is look for the long rope/string. Once you find that, you have found your keys! This also makes hanging your keys up at home easier.
Another really great idea for lanyards is to use them as a toy strap for baby toys. How many times have you been in the grocery store and your child drops (or throws) their toy from their perch on the grocery cart? I just hate when that happens. Well, all you need to do to prevent that is to attach the toy to the lanyard by clipping it on or wrapping the lanyard around the toy. Then, wrap the other end of the lanyard around the shopping cart handle. This could work well for strollers and high chairs as well. The issue of having toys fall on a public floor would be solved!
