I titled this post "Living In A Shoe" because sometimes that is how I feel about my home! Right now we have 2 children and would love to have many, many more. BUT, living space is an issue. Our house is just over 800 square feet and so we have to condense and combine alot of things in order to have room for stuff. Having children does not help de-clutter anything either...sometimes my house looks like a daycare! BUT, I love my house and would not trade my children for ANYTHING.
When thinking ahead for when baby #3 comes along, I have always had a "plan" for our children's sleeping arrangements. I would love to put a set of bunkbeds in my daughter's room and have one child on the top and one on the bottom. Preferrably, I would love the full sized bed on the bottom and the twin on the top. I'm sure you have seen them. That way we could fit 3 children in there eventually!! I know, I am getting ahead of myself here...but you get my point.
So when I found morebunkbeds.com (another Cymax store), I immediately started looking and drooling over what I saw. I am constantly amazed at the creativity of companies. Where do they get such great ideas?!?!?
When I was growing up, my dad had a GORGEOUS set of bunkbeds for us (I have 5 siblings) but the problem was that most bunkbeds do not come with bunky boards. These are boards that go under the mattress. The boards that came with the bunkbeds I grew up with were flimsy and hardly held anyone/anything! So, these bunky boards look really great and would make a perfect fix for having older children in bunk beds without making them feel like the mattress is going to fall on the floor any second!
What I have always liked to have are bunkbeds with trundle. Trundles are drawers that pull out from under the bed and can be used for storage. Being that our house is so small and we would be potentially looking at putting more than 2 children in a room this would be a great option. We would not need more dressers...which is sooo nice.
So, if you are looking for a way to live comfortably, in your little comfy and cozy "shoe", morebunkbeds.com has the answer for you! I guarantee you will love what you there and will want to shop there for your bunkbed needs.

These are neat. The design is very attractive and sure looks nice. It must be comfy too. When I was very little I remember just a short time when my brother and I had one of these! Rita Spratlen rj_angel_house@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteI live the last one! My dad made a really cool 3 bed set for my sisters.. they weren't quite bunk beds but set up like steps. Was very cool since they each had their own level.
ReplyDeleteI love them! I too remember the old bunk beds~the mattress was so thin!
ReplyDeleteWe're in the market for bunkbeds for our boys.. Looks like we'll have to check there!!
ReplyDeleteMy parents friends have a big lake house and one of the bedrooms has two sets of bunk beds for guests. Even as a kid i refused to sleep in there because the mattresses were so flimsy! These beds look way more sturdy!
ReplyDeleteThis post brings back memories of the bunk beds my brother and I had. They look sturdy and well made, unlike some of the cheap bunk beds I saw when I went bed shopping for my niece. I really like the second one, so I'll have to check out the site.
ReplyDeleteThose look like great beds especially if you live in a small apartment or house.
