My children are one of the best "things" that have ever happened to me. I have always wanted to be a mother and when hubby and I found out we were expecting our first baby...Christmas Eve morning in 2007, we were ecstatic. My live has not been the same since that day! The road of motherhood has been bumpy but I have learned so much and have really enjoyed each milestone. In my experience as a mom, I have found products that I love; and have also found products that I hate. Thankfully though, my "love" list is much longer than the "hate" list. :)
Today, I am going to introduce you to a company that all mothers should know about and it is called Motherlove. This online store is focused on giving moms and babies some of the best, wholesome and eco-friendly products I have seen yet!
Motherlove Herbal Company was founded by Kathryn Higgins, an herbalist, author and teacher. She has over 35 years of professional and personal experience and uses that experience to help others become more aware of the wonderful products nature has to offer.

Committed to our customers and setting a better-business example, Motherlove follows the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) set forth by the AHPA and the FDA. To ensure the utmost quality and consumer protection, we retain samples from every batch and have a computerized tracking system to follow any bottle sold. Our herbal supplements are made in an FDA registered, GMP certified facility. Before we place an order for an ingredient we receive a certificate of analysis and a sample. The certificate of analysis from the supplier shows test results for coliforms, salmonella, yeast & mold, bacterial plate count, heavy metals and pesticide residue. Herb samples are evaluated for color, smell and strength before approval. The finished product is then tested by an independent lab for bacteria, coliforms and heavy metals. Along with certificates of analysis for each ingredient and each lot number, we also have on file the certified organic, kosher and certified cruelty free documentation for our products.

What really impresses me about Motherlove is the fact that they focus on the mother...making her journey into motherhood a memorable and comforting one. I remember that first pregnancy and WOW...was it an eye-opener!!
There are so many accompanying aches and pains that happen...especially when the skin begins to stretch over the expanding belly. Oh my...I remember that well! Two products that Motherlove carries that are wonderful for this particular "pregnancy woe" are called Pregnant Belly Salve and Pregnant Belly Oil. Both of these help keep the skin elastic and soft...minimizing the appearance and itching of stretch marks.
So, for this particular review I was sent an 1 ounce jar of Diaper Rash & Thrush Salve. This product contains the following certified organic ingredients: extra virgin olive oil, beeswax, oregon grape root, myrrh, yarrow and calendula.

Diaper Rash & Thrush Salve can also be used on mother's nursing nipples and does not need to be washed off prior to nursing.
What I love about this product is that it is easy to apply and it is odorless. Also, the tub is tiny. But, because it takes just a little (all you do is rub your finger across the surface or lightly dig out a small amount) it will last a LONG time.
Diaper Rash & Thrush Salve can be purchased on Motherlove's website or you can visit their store locator to find a nearby location that carries Motherlove products. This product retails at $9.95 per tub.

So, in my opinion...Motherlove is a truly wonderful company. I love that all the products are herb and oil based and that they are certified organic. My son has had problems with rashes so this was a perfect time to try out this Diaper Rash & Thrush Salve.     This cream is the best. I had really sore cracked nipples the first week I was nursing my daughter. I was putting Lasinoh cream on my nipples, but it was so thick that putting it on was painful. Then, a friend suggested this cream. Wow, what a difference, it is oily but goes on smooth and heals the nipples like you would not believe. It does smell a bit like olve oil
