Living In A Shoe...Comfortably

<span class=
I titled this post "Living In A Shoe" because sometimes that is how I feel about my home! Right now we have 2 children and would love to have many, many more. BUT, living space is an issue. Our house is just over 800 square feet and so we have to condense and combine alot of things in order to have room for stuff. Having children does not help de-clutter anything either...sometimes my house looks like a daycare! BUT, I love my house and would not trade my children for ANYTHING.

When thinking ahead for when baby #3 comes along, I have always had a "plan" for our children's sleeping arrangements. I would love to put a set of bunkbeds in my daughter's room and have one child on the top and one on the bottom. Preferrably, I would love the full sized bed on the bottom and the twin on the top. I'm sure you have seen them. That way we could fit 3 children in there eventually!! I know, I am getting ahead of myself here...but you get my point.

So when I found morebunkbeds.com (another Cymax store), I immediately started looking and drooling over what I saw. I am constantly amazed at the creativity of companies. Where do they get such great ideas?!?!?

When I was growing up, my dad had a GORGEOUS set of bunkbeds for us (I have 5 siblings) but the problem was that most bunkbeds do not come with bunky boards. These are boards that go under the mattress. The boards that came with the bunkbeds I grew up with were flimsy and hardly held anyone/anything! So, these bunky boards look really great and would make a perfect fix for having older children in bunk beds without making them feel like the mattress is going to fall on the floor any second!

What I have always liked to have are bunkbeds with trundle. Trundles are drawers that pull out from under the bed and can be used for storage. Being that our house is so small and we would be potentially looking at putting more than 2 children in a room this would be a great option. We would not need more dressers...which is sooo nice.

So, if you are looking for a way to live comfortably, in your little comfy and cozy "shoe", morebunkbeds.com has the answer for you! I guarantee you will love what you there and will want to shop there for your bunkbed needs.

  6. My parents friends have a big lake house and one of the bedrooms has two sets of bunk beds for guests. Even as a kid i refused to sleep in there because the mattresses were so flimsy! These beds look way more sturdy!

  7. This post brings back memories of the bunk beds my brother and I had. They look sturdy and well made, unlike some of the cheap bunk beds I saw when I went bed shopping for my niece. I really like the second one, so I'll have to check out the site.

The Pickle Juice Company Review

How many of you are super athletic and active during the summer months? I used to be...prior to having children and now, it seems I chase them all around so that counts as something, right? One concern that many athletes and active people have during the summer is hydration and the risk of dehydration, especially if you live in a hot/tropical climate. We life in NY state so we have four full seasons, our summers can be hot and humid and if you are active, that can be challenging. Prem Soaps Review

I often love to highlight beauty and skin care products here on my blog and have been on the search for some really great and organic beauty companies to feature. When it comes to my skin (as I have said numerous times before) I am choosy as to what I use on it. Our skin really takes a beating...especially when exposed to the weather and indoor elements such as water, heat, cleaners and soaps . Have you noticed that most soaps today...even though they smell great...contain LOADS of chemicals and additives? I have, and honestly-it's scary. Think about it...your skin is like a giant sponge; what goes ON gets absorbed IN. So I think it is important to use only those products that will put goodness in...rather than chemicals. The other day I was searching the Internet for organic kitchen products . Specifically, I was looking for bamboo products, towels, dishes, etc. However, I was NOT prepared to find what I did! Prem Soaps is a little company nestled in Brooklyn, NY that...
