Sweet Valentine's Day Gifts From Knock Knock

9:24 PM

I am so excited for Valentine's Day this year! I told my daughter that we are going to make heart-shaped cut out cookies this year and decorate them with pink frosting and red sprinkles. Ooooo!! She is SO excited! I may just have to have a post dedicated to that activity. :) Having children makes celebrating special holidays so much fun...their joy and excitement is contagious, isn't it? Well, Valentine's Day is traditionally known as the day of chocolate, hearts, flowers, kisses and loads of romance. I have to admit that it really didn't mean much to me until I was married; although my father made sure that each of his daughters received a pretty carnation and some chocolate on every Valentine's Day. That made it very special to me. Now that I am a married lady, my hubby makes sure this day is still a special one. I have suggested to him that he get Hannah a small flower and start the same tradition with her that my daddy had with me.
Sometimes, getting the traditional Valentine's Day gifts can get boring. I have to admit though, I have yet to meet a box of chocolate that didn't get devoured by yours truly. Chocolate is NOT boring and I always welcome that any time of the year. I have recently become acquainted with a company that offers some really fun and cute Valentine's Day gifts that will help you to say what you mean from your heart. Knock Knock is a company that makes fun and functional gifts that will be appreciated and adored by any recipient.  Before I continue, here is a bit more about this company, which was founded by Jen Bilik.
Knock Knock was founded in 2002 by Jen Bilik with the mission of creating witty, design-driven gift products and books, along with anything else that might strike the Knock Knock fancy.

Our products aspire to bring humor, function, organization, and aesthetics to everyday life. We believe that people are intelligent enough to appreciate wit, wordplay, and conceptual thought. Whether we’re producing sticky notes or a volume of thoroughly researched nonfiction, we strive not to dumb down as we create. Our sensibility remains proudly distinct.

The Knock Knock team, which now numbers twenty-five, operates out of a sunny loft in Venice, California, a fantasy locale if ever there were one. We’re a dynamic group who do everything from creating our products and books to overseeing the all-important logistical dynamics of manufacturing, sales, and distribution.

Because this is a family-friendly blog I would like to just let you know that I did see some swearing on the website that I didn't notice at first so please be cautious if you have children that like to read over your shoulder...I would consider this a site with adult content on it. Other than that, I loved what I saw there! It is fun, witty and has so much great stuff to look at!
So, for this review I was sent some very cute and romantic Valentine's Day products to share with all of you.  I had to giggle when I opened my box of goodies...I could seriously have a lot of fun with these products! I was sent the What I Love About You Journal, XOXO Sticky Notes and the Why You Deserve Candy Pad.
I really love the Why You Deserve Candy Pad. There was one phrase on the pad that I didn't like because it had a curse word in it but other than that it is sooo cute! Here are some reasons why your love deserves candy...

-So I don't eat it all.
-It's hard to take from a baby.
-You spoil me.
-The kids ate all of yours.
-As a bribe.

There are loads of other reasons but I love those particularly. Tonight, I gave my hubby a page from this pad along with some Skittles and told him the reason he deserves candy now is so I don't eat it all. He thought that was pretty cute. :) The Why You Deserve Candy Pad retails for $6.50.
I also am really loving the XOXO Sticky Notes. They are so cute! They are not for use in your professional office (ha ha) but for around the house or for putting in your Valentine's work bag or car, they are PERFECT! I had a friend over today who has been married for 25 years. Her and her hubby are the picture of romance. They are just crazy about each other and when I showed her these sticky notes, she asked if she could have some. I gave her half the pad and she was sooo excited! Go ahead...leave a little romantic note for your love. It's so easy! The XOXO Sticky Notes retail for $3.99.
Last but not least, I just adore the What I Love About You Journal. Oh how sweet you can be with this little book. All you have to do is fill in the blanks with your sentiments. You can get crazy romantic and sweep your love right off their feet, or you can be simple and to the point.
Either way, this booklet lets YOU be creative and say exactly what you want and need to say. My friend that came over today absolutely loved this Journal. I can totally see myself filling it out completely for my hubby before Valentine's Day. I have a hard time saying what I want sometimes and this would really give me a springboard for my thoughts. I just love it. The What I Love About You Journal retails for $10.00. Here is a really cute video about this cute!
Isn't that stinkin' adorable?!? I think so. :) Anyway, it gives you a great glimpse of what this Journal is all about and how fun it could be to fill it out.

I am sure they would love to meet you so be sure you check them out and let them know that you came from my blog!  :)
So, in my opinion...I love the products I received from Knock Knock. Honestly, I think their website contains some inappropriate content but also some perfect gift ideas for Valentine's Day. There are so many different things that you can purchase...and they also have some GREAT children's gifts too! I would love to check out more of their children's products someday. Take a bit of time today to check out their Valentine's Day items...they really do have something for everyone!
