Well, for some reason blogging just didn't happen last week. I have no clue why...probably because I was busy as usual and exhausted by the end of the day. I also haven't been couponing as usual either...hope to get that up and running again soon too. :)  Anyway, thank you for your patience as I enjoyed my little break and I am looking forward to a new week of reviews and some REALLY great giveaways too! So, we are finally into the season of fall! Today, my children went outside to rake their very first leaf pile and it was SO much fun. The air had a crisp chill to it and the leaves were yellow, orange and brown. I loved watching my little people rake up the leaves...this is probably my favorite time of the year! Fall is also a fun time of year because it means that the holidays are right around the corner; Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year...oh, it is so exciting to be getting into that time of year once again! One thing that comes with the holidays that no one seems to appreciate is all the stress and busyness. I know for a fact that trying to "get it all done" wears me out and it really seems to take a toll on me because we are homeschooling and fitting everything in gets challenging. We just cannot say enough about how we love Purex laundry detergent . I am sort of a brand-loyal type of person and since I was introduced to Purex, I never really use anything else. Their detergent does the job I need done and with three children, my laundry demands and needs are pretty high. It doesn't really matter what I am washing, Purex always does the job well for us. I am not a HUGE fan of laundry pods but when I get the opportunity to review them, I am once again reminded of the reasons I enjoy using them. The detergent is pre-measured and there is no mess of measuring liquid/powdered detergent into a cap. I am a huge fan of perfume...I wear it every day whether I am going out or staying it. It just helps me to feel good and I also love smelling nice. My daughter loves to come in my room in the morning and get a spritz of perfume as well so she is going to be a perfume girly too. Love that. So, when it comes to perfume I can be kind of picky...I don't care for really strong scents and tend to go for more floral fragrances rather than musky fragrances. We have just begun our second year of home school with Hannah and she is now in Kindergarten. I realize when I am working with her just how much she has grown up the past year. So much has been learned and she has retained a lot of the information. We are only on day two and she already seems to be learning so much...hopefully school will still be fun for her in three months. Learning how to read and write has been key for her. The preschool curriculum I used was very intense and by the time she finished with Pre-K, she could read (very roughly) small, 5 page books, count to 100, knew her ABC's forwards and backwards and could write her entire name. She really hit some major milestones...I was thrilled today when we were at the doctor for her physical and they asked her if she knew her whole name and she did. :) It is nice to see that retention of what you teach pays off. Here at our house, we constantly have bananas sitting on our kitchen counter. When I have babies who are learning to eat solids, bananas are my go-to food for them...they are soft, sweet and the perfect food for sensory play. ALL of my babies loved bananas and now that they are older, we still eat bananas but make banana bread even more! One of the things that I hate about bananas is the fact that they go bad so quickly. I heard that if you separate them when you buy them, they won't ripen as fast. There is a chemical emitted from them that causes them to ripen quickly if they are attached in bunch but that process slows down if you separate them. I haven't tried that yet but will soon!
