If there is one thing about having a baby that I do not like, it is the constant annoyance of baby skin conditions. My daughter really struggled with Eczema and that is finally starting to go away. My two year old son has always been prone to diaper rashes and my newborn has cradle cap and face rashes. Ugg. Having children has sure caused me to do my research on sensitive skin and cures for skin problems! But, through my extensive research I have found so many helpful hints and products, I now feel adequate to handle just about anything. Diaper rashes tend to be the most bothersome issues for babies (from my experience) because they occur in sensitive areas and are often very painful if left untreated. I remember one time my son had a dirty diaper and for some odd reason, I didn't realize it. When I changed him, he had been in it for about an hour and had developed a mean rash. It was one of those moments as a mom when I just felt so terrible and like I had failed him as a mother. After treating the rash with my usual diaper rash cream, he was much happier. I hate those kinds of rashes!!!
Recently I came across a Canadian-based company that carries a fantastic diaper rash cream that I really was interested in. Baby Butz is a mom-founded company and was created because a mom saw a need for a diaper rash cream that was clear of perfumes, chemicals and toxins. Here is more of her beautiful story...
Baby Butz is truly a product that came about as a result of a mother's love. Oh, how I envy this little boy for having such a wonderful mom. I just love their story.
So, for this review I was sent several tubs of Baby Butz Cream to try on my children. The packaging is sooo cute for babies. That was what first caught my eye...I love the colors and the little turtle. This tub looks so great in my nursery.
Baby Butz Cream is 100% natural and 100% guaranteed. It really doesn't smell like anything at all, which is nice because I grew up around Desitin and that stuff stinks!! The ingredient list is: Zinc Oxide, Lanolin, Petrolatum, Starch. Pretty simple and totally natural! The texture of this cream is really different and something that I was not used to. It is VERY thick and dense which means you need very little. I tried out this cream on my son's bottom for several days and here is what I found. The cream stays on for a long time. I applied it at bedtime and even though his diaper was wet in the morning, his bottom was still dry and you could still see the cream. It kept him dry and comfortable, which I appreciated. Today, I did an experiment with Baby Butz as I heard that some have had it work on Eczema.
My 14 week old has had a mild rash on his face and it does not want to go away. So, I applied a very thin layer of Baby Butz Cream to it and by mid-afternoon, the redness was gone and tonight when I put him to bed, it was almost completely gone altogether! Sooo, I am really excited to use this again on him. Obviously, I was careful to not get it near his eyes and massaged it into his skin really well so there was little residue left.
Needless to say, I am definitely going to keep using Baby Butz Cream on my babies. I am also going to recommend it to other moms who have little ones. Diaper rashes are no fun and there is no need for babies and toddlers to suffer when there is a great product like this on the market. Baby Butz Cream can be purchased primarily in Canada, but can also be found in New York and also online directly from the company. Their largest tub costs $14.99 which is a GREAT deal and well worth it.
I have a large and small tub of Baby Butz Cream that I would like to give away to one of my readers! Don't worry, they are sealed and have never been used. :) Here are your entry options...
Disclaimer: I received no monetary compensation for this post. I did receive free Baby Butz products for review purposes. All quotes and stock photos are from the Baby Butz website and email. Prize is being provided and shipped by myself. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.
I'm expecting my first, so I haven't tried any yet. I know of the old standby, Desitin, and Bordreaux's Butt Paste. I'll be much better versed in this next year!
I love Baby Butz cream! My son would get rashes so bad that they would blister and bleed. We tried everything and A&D gave him a bit of relief but on the advice of another mom I bought some Baby Butz cream and he has not had a rash since! I also love that fact that it is chemical free. heatherg2002@yahoo.ca

How many of you are super athletic and active during the summer months? I used to be...prior to having children and now, it seems I chase them all around so that counts as something, right? One concern that many athletes and active people have during the summer is hydration and the risk of dehydration, especially if you live in a hot/tropical climate. We life in NY state so we have four full seasons, our summers can be hot and humid and if you are active, that can be challenging. The other issue that many run into is having a sports drink that can replenish and refresh their system that is gluten free and healthy for them too. Food allergies can limit the choices when it comes to hydration drinks. So, today I am going to introduce you to The Pickle Juice Company . This company specializes in gluten-free sports drinks that will stop muscle cramps in their tracks and keep you hydrated and refreshed no matter what activities you are participating in this summer! Before I continue wi...
***GIVEAWAY CLOSED*** Well, as you have probably noticed I do not have a shortage of lip balms in my house. I do have a sister who is crazy about lip balms too, so I make sure to pass on some of my goodies to her. My daughter is also really fond of these little sticks of balm too...and LOVES to put on like two or three inches of it when she is given the chance! As a Carmex Blog Squad Member , I am privileged to bring you new and exciting products that Carmex has recently released and they are NEVER a disappointment! So, this next review is brought to you by Carmex and is featuring their brand new Vanilla Twist and Lime Twist Ultra Moisturizing Lip Balms ! Carmex has been one of my favorite brands to use lately mainly because I love the tingly sensation that is present after using their products. I know it sounds odd, but it is almost like I know the product is working for me and actually doing something other than sitting on my lips. (Just don't leave them in a hot ...
***GIVEAWAY CLOSED*** Here in our home, we are big time snackers. My husband always says "Time to eat again!" right before he goes to bed...it's tradition!!! So, off to bed he goes carrying a plate of some type of snack. His favorite foods are usually hot foods to "warm up" his belly before dozing off for the night. HOW he enjoys this I don't know. Usually he brings in extra for me too but because I brush my teeth before crawling into bed I don't normally partake of his night time snacks. We LOVE salsa in our house too...it is just something that is always a part of our snacking. The best part about snacking on salsa is that it is usually healthy for you...which makes it all the more enjoyable! This next review encompasses guacamole AND salsa...and my my-it is GOOD! I have heard of Wholly Guacamole before but had never tried it. So when the opportunity arose for me to conduct a review of their products, I was thrilled! Mainly because I have ...
