Parnevu T-Tree Hair Care Products Review

I have always loved having long hair. I went through a phase (I think all people with long hair do) where I was chopping my hair short into bob styles and really did like it shorter. Because my hair is thick, having it shorter makes it much easier to manage and styling is a breeze too. Since I have been married, my husband loves long hair so I have not chopped it in over 6 years. I have had it trimmed but not cut short...he would absolutely die if I did that. Sometimes I color my hair too because I have so many white hairs that show up unexpectedly...my grandmother was completely white at 28 years old so I guess the white hair is hereditary. Bummer. Anyway, I love using different shampoos on my hair and doing reviews gives me the opportunity to try out new products and brands and I have really found some great hair care products through these past few years of doing reviews.

Today, I am going to introduce you to Parnevu...a company that uses luxurious T-Tree Oil in their hair care products! Now, when I first visited the site I noticed that all the models on the site were darker skinned and I am white as a ghost. I do know that African American people tend to have hair that needs special products so I was worried at first that Parnevu wasn't a product for me. However, when I checked with them they said that they have received success stories from women of all ethnic backgrounds so it isn't just limited to those who need extra care for their hair. YAY! Parnevu offers a fantastic line of T-Tree Oil hair care products along with products designed for people with very dry hair. Before I continue, here is a bit more about T-Tree Oil and it's benefits!

T-tree oil is produced from Melaleuca Alternifolia leaves, which is an indigenous tree of coastal Australia, and is known for its many uses in therapeutic and cosmetic fields. Some of tea tree's most unique properties are its excellent dermal penetration, being non-irritating and inflammatory, being environmentally friendly, and having a pleasant aroma. But perhaps the most remarkable property is its capability to eliminate the itching and flaking associated with dandruff. It can also aid in sebum control, dry scalp prevention, as well as assisting in the maintenance of a healthy scalp.

Tea tree oil has been considered as one of nature's most versatile natural healers. Tea tree oil has numerous benefits including combating dandruff and oily skin, killing bacteria. It is the perfect way to stimulate and refresh both the hair and scalp. Regular use of Parnevu T-Tree Oil products promotes the natural healing process for total hair and scalp health.

Because I have oily hair, I was curious as to how Parnevu's products would help my hair. It was something that I was looking forward to and could not wait to receive the products!

So, for this review I was sent the T-Tree Shampoo ($6.00), Leave-in Conditioner ($6.00) and Break Control ($6.00). All of the products are packaged attractively and smell absolutely gorgeous too! I have been using these products for the past four weeks and wanted to share my experience with you.

The first products I tried were the shampoo and leave-in conditioner. Now, I will tell you here that I am not a huge fan of using leave-in conditioners simply because typically, they leave my hair feeling greasy and needing to be rinsed out. Leave-in conditioners are designed to stay in the hair and condition constantly so they are WONDERFUL for people who have really curly hair...I know this because I have a friend who uses these types of conditioners all the time. This particular conditioner is also known to help with flaking and itching as well as strengthening the hair and locking in moisture. That is so great to know especially with summer right on the doorstep. 

The T-Tree Shampoo is wonderful. I use it about twice a week on my hair and it has seemed to help with the snarls that I tend to get in my hair. I have fairly straight and VERY long hair so it gets tangled pretty easily. This is also where the conditioner comes into play as well. I apply the conditioner when my hair is freshly washed and it makes it a cinch to comb out. One thing I found though is because my hair is oily, particularly at the roots, I only condition from about my ears down. When I was conditioning from my forehead down, it was leaving my roots looking pretty greasy. So, once I switched to only using it farther down my head it worked beautifully. 

Out of the products I received for this review the only one that didn't work for me was the Break Control. This creamy formula just made my hair look very greasy within minutes of applying it and no matter how I applied it, I had issues. I could definitely see how it would help someone who has coarse, dry hair because it is designed to help control the breaking of hair and also moisturize. So, my hair isn't brittle and I don't struggle with that problem but I know people who do and plan on sharing this product with them. Just because it didn't work for me does NOT mean it won't work for someone else. 

So, here are my before and after pictures of my hair. The picture on the left is the before picture. As you can see, my hair looks pretty wild and snarly. After using Parnevu for 4+ weeks, my hair became softer and more manageable as you can see on the right. I would definitely say that Parnevu products worked well with my hair type and even though I have oily hair, it still helped to manage that while moisturizing without the greasy feel.

At first, I wasn't sure how these products would work for me but now I am definitely impressed. I have told some of my friends about this company and they are eager to check out Parnevu.
