When it comes to eating healthy some people are just better at it than others. I had big dreams of my family eating healthy way before my first child was born. Then, I met my husband. He is the poster child for the "I HATE VEGETABLES" club. He will eat no veggies whatsoever and to this day, that really doesn't bother me. What does bother me though is the fact that my children are now following in his footsteps. I offer them veggies at dinner but they don't usually eat them. As a mom, this can be worrisome and I know that if they don't eat their veggies, they can be deficient in many vitamins. So, it is my goal to get them to eat veggies in some way, shape or form.
Recently while I was on Twitter, I noticed a company called Voots and because the name is unusual, I did a bit more investigating. Come to find out Voots is a company that makes Veggie-Fruit Tarts for children and adults! Whoa...this seemed just a bit too good to be true. One small tart will help my children get the nutrients that they need??? So, after some more research, I really loved what I saw. Before I continue, here is a bit more about how they make these small bits of yummy goodness called Voots...
I was really excited about Voots for two reasons...these would provide some nutritional supplements for them and also my hubby would probably like them too! So, you can imagine how thrilled I was when I was given the opportunity to review Voots.
So, for this review I was sent a box of Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts! My package arrived the other day and I waited until the children were up from their naps to share with them...I thought it would make a great treat for their afternoon snack!
Each packet of Voots contains two Veggie-Fruit Tarts and they are really handy to have in these little packets! You can stick one in your child's lunchbox, backpack or even in your purse, diaper bag or car. They are sooo easy to take with you on-the-go...which is great for me!
As soon as my children woke up from naps I told them I had a special treat for them and pulled out the Voots. They were both VERY excited and could not wait to taste them! My daughter is 4 and my son is 2 so while my daughter is big enough to eat two of these tarts, I just gave her one to try. She LOVED it. My son, well, he devoured his which means he loved them too! Today while I was getting ready for the day, my daughter helped herself to her daily dose of Voots...without asking mommy first. Hmmmm...I guess that's a good sign right? I think it means she really likes them. Alot. Tonight, I showed the box of Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts to my husband and right away, he looked at me suspiciously. He was VERY nervous about trying them because they had those evil veggies in them. But, I insisted that they tasted like candy and that got him to try them. He LOVED them too!!!! He said that they taste like Sweet Tarts candy, which is true. I think I may have to hide the box and ration them out to the children and hubby...otherwise the whole box may be gone in one day!! :)
While Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts are very tasty and are a dietary supplement, they are NOT a substitute for eating fresh fruits and veggies. For me though, it is good to know that I can at least help boost my children's nutritional needs in that area by giving them Voots. The 14-Packet box I received retails for about $9.99 and you can find Voots at Walgreens, Target and other stores nationwide. Check out Voots store locator on their website to find a store near you. Also, be sure to visit Voots on Facebook, Twitter and also on Pinterest.
So, in my opinion...Voots Veggie-Fruit Tarts are fantastic! My children and husband love them and it is nice to have a fruity, tasty, veggie-packed supplement to offer them. While I work very hard to try and offer them fruits and vegetables on a regular basis, sometimes they just won't eat them. So, having Voots on hand is wonderful. I would definitely recommend these to anyone! Healthy never tasted so yummy. :)

We believe in the power of fruits and veggies. Simply put, we strived to create the most wholesome product we possibly could. The result? We packed Vitamin C and eleven different fruits and veggies into Voots® tarts!† Amazing, we know. But how did we do it?
We start with real fruits and vegetables: apples, cranberries, oranges, prunes, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, carrots, sweet potatoes, zucchinis and green beans.
These fruits and veggies are then dehydrated, crushed, combined with Vitamin C and other ingredients and made into delicious berry-flavored chewable tarts. Just two tiny tarts provide the Vitamin C antioxidant power of three servings of fruits and vegetables.‡ And did we mention that there are no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives?
Your kids will eat Voots® Veggie-Fruit Tarts because they’re delicious. You’ll feel smart. They’ll probably ask for them. And you can feel good about it.
