Lora's Beauty Review

There is just something about using hand made beauty products. I don't know if it is the realization that someone took the time to make them, or if it is just because you know that it is high-quality BECAUSE it is hand made. Either way, any beauty product that is hand made is wonderful to me!

I recently came across a wonderful company that offers hand made beauty products that are affordable, beautiful and original in design and ingredients.
Lora's Beauty is a company that offers a very lovely line of lotions, soaps and bath products. I was amazed when I was browsing through the website just how many choices there are from which to pick! I saw things like Body Scrubs, Body Butters, Soaps, Sunscreens and Salves. All of Lora's Beauty products are made from all natural ingredients...some of which come from Lora's garden!!! If that doesn't make you want these products, I don't know what will!!!
So, how did Lora's Beauty grow into the company that it is today?

"Lora's Beauty grew out of the desire to provide quality, inexpensive, natural skin care products. A personal desire to limit dollars spent on body care products sent Lora digging on the computer to find ways to make her own. Lotion was the first endeavor and then family and friends talked her into trying soap. From there she branched out into other body (and some hair) products.

For a couple years Lora sold her products to only family and friends. Information was gathered and products were enhanced but the overall goal in providing a quality product inexpensively continues."

Because all of the ingredients are natural in Lora's products, everything (except the soap) is made to order. Another nice fact about Lora's Beauty products is that they don't contain any sulfates or petroleum...only organic ingredients when possible.
I was sent a hand made bar of Honey Safflower soap for this review and I LOVE it! I used it tonight for the first time and it smelled soooo good! My hands were soft after using it and they didn't dry out. This particular soap is good for skin that is prone to rashes because of the Safflower threads that are in it. The honey adds extra softness.
The process through which Lora's soaps are made is very intricate...using the cold process technique and then rebatched. The soaps take weeks to make. You can visit Lora's Beauty Blog and read her step by step documentation of how she makes her soap.
So, in my opinion...Lora's Beauty is a company that offers very high-quality, clean, eco-friendly and hand made products. True beauty is found at Lora's Beauty and her products are sure to make a great addition to any gift basket or stocking this holiday season!

The Pickle Juice Company Review

How many of you are super athletic and active during the summer months? I used to be...prior to having children and now, it seems I chase them all around so that counts as something, right? One concern that many athletes and active people have during the summer is hydration and the risk of dehydration, especially if you live in a hot/tropical climate. We life in NY state so we have four full seasons, our summers can be hot and humid and if you are active, that can be challenging. The other issue that many run into is having a sports drink that can replenish and refresh their system that is gluten free and healthy for them too. Food allergies can limit the choices when it comes to hydration drinks. So, today I am going to introduce you to The Pickle Juice Company . This company specializes in gluten-free sports drinks that will stop muscle cramps in their tracks and keep you hydrated and refreshed no matter what activities you are participating in this summer! Prem Soaps Review

I often love to highlight beauty and skin care products here on my blog and have been on the search for some really great and organic beauty companies to feature. When it comes to my skin (as I have said numerous times before) I am choosy as to what I use on it. Our skin really takes a beating...especially when exposed to the weather and indoor elements such as water, heat, cleaners and soaps . Have you noticed that most soaps today...even though they smell great...contain LOADS of chemicals and additives? I have, and honestly-it's scary. Think about it...your skin is like a giant sponge; what goes ON gets absorbed IN. So I think it is important to use only those products that will put goodness in...rather than chemicals. The other day I was searching the Internet for organic kitchen products . Specifically, I was looking for bamboo products, towels, dishes, etc. However, I was NOT prepared to find what I did! Prem Soaps is a little company nestled in Brooklyn, NY that...
