Belvedere Designs Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***

Being that I live in a small house I cannot help but try to find innovative and creative ways to decorate. It is difficult to decorate cleverly but I think that I do a pretty good job considering what I have to work with. One of my walls is full of pictures of my babies. When I was first married, it was full of wedding pictures. But, when baby #1 came along...that changed. The wall slowly became transformed into my bragging wall. :) How can you NOT hang up hundreds of pictures of YOUR baby...the cutest baby in all the world?!?
I have recently become very interested in vinyl wall art. When I first saw an entry way that was sporting an elegant saying, I was impressed. I cannot remember where the person got it from or any details, just that I loved it and thought I would get one of my own someday. Recently, I was perusing the web looking for wall art companies and happened upon the one I will be reviewing today.
Belvedere Designs is a husband and wife owned company that was started because of a dream. Raelene and Jordan had a love for creating words, sentences and designs that flowed together...and the challenge of correct spacing, interesting font and endless designs soon captured their hearts.
Another goal of Raelene and Jordan was to create wall art that was affordable. Who wants to break the bank when trying to decorate? The answer is no one...and this couple is making sure that every wall art they design is unique, colorful and reasonably priced. Also, their designs are not microscopic...so you are getting a readable and classy wall art without paying an exorbitant amount of money in the process.

Wall art is a totally new experience for me and I was excited to have been given the opportunity to review and write about my very own experience with Belvedere Designs!
For this review I was sent the "The Kitchen Is The Heart Of The Home" design and I had the perfect place for it! The wall quote came rolled up and also came with a hard, plastic "smoother" to smooth the surfaces to the wall.
My kitchen is a country, eat-in kitchen. One of my walls is completely empty except for an electrical outlet that is mounted halfway up the wall (who puts an outlet there????????) and a home security control box for a security system that we have never used. Fun, huh? Yeah...well, it was time for that empty wall to become something.
So, last night my dear hubby and I set to work at applying my wall quote. I asked him to help as this particular wall quote is longer and I needed his long arms to help me hold and keep things in place. So, the first thing I did was to tape the upper edge of the design to the wall. It was recommended to use duct tape, but I didn't have any. So, I used scotch tape (I know now why it says to use duct tape...scotch tape moves! UGG!).

After taping, we carefully peeled off the back layer of paper to expose the sticky lettering. This is where things can get difficult. For me, never having done this before, I was SUPER nervous that I would mess it up. Hubby gently and carefully started to peel away the backing and all was going well until we got to the very end. One of the little curly designs decided to not cooperate and would not peel. It got twisted after we tried to re-apply the paper, and we had to stop and undo the tangles before we could continue. Finally, it looked better (wasn't perfect...but I didn't care!) and we were able to finish.
Once the letters are adhered to the wall, we were able to smooth the final layer in place and peel off the final backing. I was like "YAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!"! It looked soo great. I think our tape came undone and our wall quote was on a tiny slant, but I didn't care...it was so slight no one will notice. :) (My picture above was not taken straight on so it looks REALLY crooked there...but it isn't like THAT at all.)
Now that I have put up one wall quote, I want one for every room! LOL! It looks great and really sets the tone of my kitchen. The funny thing was that when my daughter got up in the morning, she looked at the wall and said "Mommy, there is writing on the wall!!!"! Glad she noticed. :)

Belvedere Designs sells wall quotes and wall art for every room of your home. They have laundry room wall quotes, entry way wall quotes and bedroom wall quotes...for everyone in your family! They also have custom made vinyl lettering for indoor or outdoor use. So, you can design the font, coloring and words of your own custom art. Very neat!

Oh yes, and if you make a purchase from Belvedere Designs, you can get 10% off your order by using the code BLOG10 at checkout. Cool beans! :)
So, in my opinion...Belvedere Designs is a fantastic company! I certainly learned alot about putting up wall quotes after my first time experience last night. :) It was a bit stressful, but being a perfectionist, that was just me being me. I love all the wall art that they offer and really do want to get some more at some point in the future. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to freshen up their home. If I can do it, ANYONE can! :)

The Pickle Juice Company Review

How many of you are super athletic and active during the summer months? I used to be...prior to having children and now, it seems I chase them all around so that counts as something, right? One concern that many athletes and active people have during the summer is hydration and the risk of dehydration, especially if you live in a hot/tropical climate. We life in NY state so we have four full seasons, our summers can be hot and humid and if you are active, that can be challenging. The other issue that many run into is having a sports drink that can replenish and refresh their system that is gluten free and healthy for them too. Food allergies can limit the choices when it comes to hydration drinks. So, today I am going to introduce you to The Pickle Juice Company . This company specializes in gluten-free sports drinks that will stop muscle cramps in their tracks and keep you hydrated and refreshed no matter what activities you are participating in this summer! Carmex Healing Lotion & Healing Cream Review

Because I am a member of the Carmex Blog Squad , I am informed of and privileged to bring you reviews of Carmex's newest products! This is something that I have been doing for awhile and have really grown to love the Carmex brand. The newest products that have been introduced by Carmex are lovely and will definitely impress you as they have me. Because I am a mom, I wash my hands frequently. After diaper changes, before cleaning wounds, bathroom breaks, preparing food...all this requires clean hands. Because I usually apply lotion while I am moving and going from one thing to the next, I do not like a greasy lotion. I HATE applying a cream and having to "dry" my hands for the next half hour. What a perfectly good waste of time that is. So, I was wondering what Carmex would offer me in way of fast and quickly absorbing lotion. Before I continue, here is a bit more about Carmex for those of you who are new to their brand... Carmex® lip balm was invented in 1...

He is funny, sincere, loving and VERY handy with the computer. I have issues sometimes with coding and am often heard calling "Honey? Can you come look at my blog? I don't know how to fix this!!!!" And, my charming prince comes to rescue me. My darling is going to be 31 in a week and I am SO excited to be able to celebrate another birthday with him. He also shares a birthday with our daughter which makes the day twice as fun. :) She has been talking about her birthday for WEEKS and cannot wait! This next review item is for him so if you know him (and I am hoping he doesn't read my blog for the next week :/) don't tell him about this!!!!!!!! If you are looking for perfect, unique and personalized gifts for someone special in your life I will tell you that after this post, you...
