My Journey With Back Problems

Growing up, we always had swings on which to play. My dad would use huge tractor tires cut in half and make the most amazing swings for us...we were very popular kids to play with in the summer time! :) These particular swings were hung from extremely tall trees in the front yard and would seriously FLY when they were pushed hard enough. Being that it was a tractor tire, you could seat up to 6 people in one swing and it would make for the best ride. One day, I was on one of these swings by myself and my brother was pushing me. We decided that it would be fun to twist the swing up and let it unwind (which also made for a pretty exciting ride!). Suddenly, while the swing was unwinding, the rope broke and the swing fell 4 feet onto the ground. My foot was squished under the heavy tire and my ankle was twisted. Little did I know that a twisted ankle was the least of my injuries.  It wasn't until several years later that I discovered that my back had sustained an injury from th...

She has graciously agreed to be a guest poster today so please, tune in and see how YOU can become proficient at using coupons and saving money!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* I'm a mom to seven and at first started couponing out of necessity but have come to enjoy it as a hobby.  I wanted to share the very beginning basics of couponing in hopes it can help others learn quickly how to save money shopping.  The first thing I do is make sure to get 3-5 (or more) newspapers every Sunday.  Always be sure to check there are coupon inserts before purchasing.  Often I will check www.sundaycouponpreview.com to see before buying.  Next I take out all like inserts and put them together like the picture s...

Why I Am A Review Blogger

I have always loved to write, and in my high school years I was told that I was quite good at it. I always had numerous pen pals and kept a daily diary of my life. Writing was always a way to express myself when I could not find the verbal way to say something...I could be heard without being misunderstood. When I was married, my husband introduced me to blogging. Being that I was now a married woman with relatives that lived a great distance away, blogging was a way to keep them in touch with me and my life happenings. After having a personal blog for several years, a good friend of mine started to do reviews for companies. At first glance, I said that I would not have the time to do something like that...I was too busy being a wife and mother. Then, I began to realize that when I would look for information about a product, many of my sources would be blogs and many of these bloggers were in the same stage of life for me. I say this because now I see the importance of blogging fo...

Helpful Hints for Shaving

When it comes right down to is, there are some things in life that we just have to do. Whether we enjoy those things or not is irrelevant-they still need to be done. Shaving is one of those things. There are very few men out there who do not need to shave and those men should count themselves lucky. My husband just happens to be one of those guys who really hates to shave. He will only shave two to three times a week (or if I bug him about it sooner). I think part of the issue is that he has sensitive skin and nicks himself easily. If you have a guy in your life who hates to shave, I have a few hints to share with you today that could make his task much easier.  1. Use an electric razor. I think that electric razors are probalby the most effective and efficient. Most, if not all of them are very gentle on the skin and are designed to make shaving comfortable. The only down side to these razors would be the expense of replacing the blades when they get dull. My husband had a...

Omega3Water Review

I am NOT a fan of the hot weather and I hate humidity. Ugg...there is nothing worse than trying to work outside and it is sooo hot, you can hardly breathe. It is hot here where I live, but not as hot as some places. Thankfully we have our share of cooler weather. Needless to say, in the hot months of summer I drink a ton of water. When I was pregnant, I would actually carry a large water bottle around with me regardless of what time of year it was...water is very addicting to me. I am also a fan of flavored water . To me, water is water and when it comes to trying to get my children to drink water, flavored tends to encourage them more than plain. If the water has anything nutritious added to it, that is a welcome bonus for me. :) Well, today I have the opportunity of introducing a brand new flavored water to you all and it is unlike anything you have ever tried before! Omega3Water is water that is packed with omega-3 nutrients, which are very beneficial to your health. Many pe...

Saving Money Is A CINCH!

How many of you out there use coupons? Are any of you extreme couponers...meaning you go to the store and walk out with three cart loads of groceries that only cost you $23.99? I am nowhere near that accomplishment but I do clip coupons. Someday I might be like that though...as our family grows, so will our grocery bill!! I grew up in a home where my parents had six children to raise. On Sunday afternoons, my mom could always be found going through the Sunday paper coupon inserts and clipping coupons. She was adamant about saving money and boy was she good at it! Now that I am a mother myself, I know the importance of saving money. My husband has a good job and we are not hurting for money. However, I still think it is important to be frugal and try to be judicious with our money. We currently have two children in diapers and believe me, diapers can be SO expensive! So, out of necessity, I have become a coupon-clipper. Most of my coupons come from newspaper inserts, but I a...

Making Father's Day Memorable with Mary Kay {GIVEAWAY}

I cannot believe that Father's Day is on the doorstep! If you are like me, you are going to get your man a special card (one from the children and one from me) and special gifts. I love giving my hubby gifts, no matter what the occasion is. While I know he doesn't really put much stock into these "Hallmark Holidays", I enjoy making the day special for him. Usually, I try to prepare a special dinner for him and then present him with his gifts and cards. This year, we are not going to be home on Father's Day, but I am planning to celebrate with him within the week following. I sure do love the man who is the father to our children...what a great dad he is, and what attention he deserves!! One thing that has always been hard is trying to decide WHAT to get him in way of a Father's Day gift . He isn't a fussy person, but does have certain needs. Honestly, I am sure he gets tired of getting T-shirts and candy...what about something different this year? We...

Pamper Your Feet With Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles!

All throughout my most recent pregnancy, I dealt with really awful back and hip pain. While I was pregnant, I attributed the pain to the extra weight and also to my joints loosening up and preparing for birth. I am also a bare-footed gal who HATES socks and shoes. When I am home, I am usually barefoot and when I go out, I typically wear flip flops or sandals. I think I just feel too restricted in socks. Anyway, my hip pain did not go away after Isaac was born. When I would walk him around the house late at night, my hip would be screaming at me...almost to the point where I didn't think I could walk anymore. Our family loves to go for long summer evening walks as well and I was beginning to think that those would have to end due to my pain. Well, recently I have discovered a new product from Dr. Scholl's that has really enabled me to walk with less pain, and I am going to share it with you all today! I am sure many of you have heard of Dr. Scholl's . They are a very ...
