Being that I am a mom, it is really difficult to sit down and eat healthy sometimes. I really do try but it seems that there is always someone vying for my attention. So, it is usually grab something quick and keep going. Eating somewhat healthy is also a goal of mine so reaching for something healthy is really important too. How come it is that no matter how hard I try, there are never enough HEALTHY snacks on hand?? Really, it is my responsibility to take control of my snacking binges and make certain that what I am eating is really good for me and will help to sustain my energy throughout the day.
LUNA is a nutritional bar specifically designed for women who are on the go or who need an extra boost for their day. GREAT TIPS! I am one that used to skip breakfast until I realized how bad it was for me. Now, I try to eat a healthy breakfast every morning and I can see a difference in how I feel.
For this review I was sent 4 LUNA bars in 2 different flavors. I received the Chocolate Chunk and the Chocolate Dipped Coconut flavors. These bars are vegan and kosher...plus they are 70% organic as well.
My favorite bar was the Chocolate Dipped Coconut. I am a HUGE fan of coconut and chocolate and really love the flavor combination. These bars taste like they have so many nutritious ingredients in them...which they do, and are really filling. I LOVE THEM! :) They also look really yummy too.
I gave a small bite to my daughter and she loved it too! LUNA bars are not recommended for children under age 4 but at my discretion, I gave her a bite. She really enjoyed her taste and wanted more, but I had already finished the bar myself. :)
The Chocolate Chunk LUNA bar was also very good. It reminded me of a granola bar with huge chocolate chips in it. I felt very full after eating these bars and they really did give me a boost in my normally tired out afternoon.

Cocoa Butter, Fiber, Folic Acid, Iron, Oat Flour, Palm Kernel Oil, Soy Beans, Vitamins A, D, C & E, Whole Grains and more yummy ingredients!
LUNA bars can be purchased at major retailers across the country including Walmart, Wegmans and Target. Prices vary but they can be purchased online, in a 15 count case for approximately $19.00.
So, in my opinion...LUNA bars are tasty, nutritious and very filling. I am definitely going to look for them on my next shopping trip as I feel they would really help me feel fuller and less prone to grabbing potato chips or cookies. ReplyDeleteMy husband brings Luna bars to the gym every day. He kept trying to get me to try it and being the most unhealthiest eater alive I refused until one day we were on a road trip and I was starving. That was the day I realized eating healthy could be yummy too!
