My husband is perhaps the most handsomest guy on the planet. Actually, he is. *grin* Here are some random fast facts about him…
*He drinks about 2 gallons of milk a week
*He is taller than me…even when I wear heels!
*His eyes are the color of coffee
*He LOVES our children!
Yes, he is a wonderful man. One thing he doesn’t do is shave every day. He really hates to do it and waits until it gets really noticeable before he decides to do something about it. Because his hair is dark it doesn’t take long to look like he needs to shave! Either way doesn’t bother me one bit. If he shaves his facial hair fine. If not, fine. One of the other reasons he doesn’t like to shave a lot is because razors go dull after one use. This is VERY annoying for him (and can get expensive). It’s a battle, but eventually, he wins!
I am sure that you all have heard of Gillette before, so I don't need to make much of an introduction for them. I have always loved their products...especially their men's products. They smell SO great.
Gillette has recently revealed a brand new and innovative razor for our guys…and it is a NICE one. The Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power Razor is the newest member of Gillette’s family and it is really different from the rest of the razors out there in that it is battery operated, yet still looks like an ordinary, hand-held razor.
For this review I was sent this fabulous razor, along with several other Gillette products. I think I was more excited to have hubby try these out than he was! J
The first Gillette product he tried was the Gillette Odor Shield Body Wash. He is a typical bar-of-soap type of guy so this was a totally new experience for him. It smells amazing and he said that it makes his skin feel really clean and soft too. I was very pleased that he liked it. He smelled great after his bath too! It was a pleasant change for him (and me!).
What better way for hubby to end his bath time than to use the Gillette Odor Shield Fresh Response Deodorant! This was also a product I was sent for review and it really pairs nicely with the body wash. The scent is great and it features Odor Shield technology that neutralizes odor at the source to eliminate it. Hubby works hard so he really needs a deodorant that will work hard for HIM. This Gillette Odor Shield Anti-Perspirant Deodorant can be purchased at major retailers and drug stores and it costs anywhere from $4.29 to $5.99.
Finally, he tried the Gillette Fusion Pro-Glide Power Razor. I was VERY excited to see how he liked this one. Because razors are so hard for him to find, he was happy to try this one out! Some of the features of this razor are:
*Low cutting force blades, which allow the razors to cut through hair with less tug and pull.
*A larger Lubrastrip that is infused with mineral oil and lubricating polymers that enables the razor to move smoothly over skin...even on repeat strokes.
*A re-designed handle with bigger and more ergonomic grips for better control
*A low-battery indicator light
*Automatic shut-off after 8 minutes in case the razor is left on accidentally
*Shower safe...so your guy can shave wherever he wants!

This razor really worked well on Greg. He did not like the power option though as the vibrating bothered him quite a bit. BUT, the 5 blades really gave him a close shave which was great. He just uses it without the power. His shave looked GREAT!
The Gillette Proglide Power Razor retails anywhere from $10.99 to $12.99 and the replacement cartridges are about $29 (from what I have seen on RiteAid's website). To me, that is a bit steep but like my hubby says, it is an investment. The blades will last a long time and comfort is WORTH IT.

So, in my opinion...these products from Gillette are wonderful! Hubby really enjoys the body wash and the deodorant as well. The Proglide Razor is wonderful too, he just isn't a fan of the power option. Nice to know that the Proglide also comes with a non-power model as well! These products would make a wonderful Father's Day gift for your special man. :)

I LOVE the gillette body wash...well, I love it for my husband, I mean. My husband hates the girly moisturizing body wash I usually get but he loves it when I buy him gillette. I also really like the hydra gel...it's great for legs too. ;)

ReplyDeleteThis is the brand I buy for my son. He loves it. He prefers to dry shave and he says it just glides and doesnt cut him like all the other blades do.
