Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips Review

As I have mentioned numerous times on this blog, our family is into snacking. Hannah loves any kind of crunchy and salty snack and Greg and I are into ANYTHING that is good for snacking! Jacob hasn't yet learned the art though...but we are working on him! :0) All of us have different taste preferences when it comes to our chips. Hubby prefers a spicy and hot chip while I love onion flavors. Hannah eats just about everything except for REALLY hot stuff. Usually, we purchase name brands too...but with prices so high lately we have been reaching for store brands. But normally, we are brand name buyers!
Today I have some really great snacks to introduce to you...thanks to Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips! These chips are not your ordinary potato chips either...they will give you the taste of the islands without having to leave your couch!

Here is some more information about these amazing chips...fresh and hot off the press!

The makers of Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips announce that their superior line of kettle style potato chips and snack rings are for the first time available to consumers nationwide. The line offers four flavor choices including Original, Luau BBQ, Sweet Maui Onion and Wasabi.
Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips, which have enjoyed a loyal following on the West Coast, bring something unique to the supermarket. With the Hawaiian tagline, “Lolo ‘Ono,” which translates to “Crazy Delicious,” Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips use the traditional Polynesian recipe that originated the Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chip. Consumers who have yet to experience Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips and Snack Rings can look forward not only to superior taste and quality, but also to the artistic, colorful, tropical artwork that appears on every bag.
“We are delighted to bring a taste of the islands to the rest of the country to expand people’s taste horizons,” says Terri Barberi, Brand Development Manager in the Specialty Foods Division of Pinnacle Foods Corp., marketers of the Hawaiian™ brand. “The distinctive flavor profiles, crunchy texture and unique packaging all combine to offer consumers a product that is above comparison, and we know they’ll love it.”

I have to admit that these bags of chips are very eye catching. Truthfully though, I don't like the artwork on the bags...the people are dressed far to immodestly for my taste. I had to cover the picture with my hand before showing them to my hubby. Other than that, yes...the bags are very colorful and beautifully eye-catching.
For this review I was sent 4 bags of Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips and we did not waste any time digging in to try them out! The flavors I received were Original, Sweet Maui Onion, Luau BBQ and Wasabi. I have had Wasabi flavored foods before yet had forgotten that Wasabi is spicy. So, that was the first bag we tried!
I gave one to my 2 1/2 year old and within seconds she was holding her mouth and begging for a drink of water. OOPS!! I forgot she doesn't like hot stuff.
These chips were my husbands favorite (I think it is the horseradish that he loves so much)!! He LOVED them and immediately confiscated the entire bag for himself. :)
I then tried the Sweet Maui Onion chips and these were sooo delectable! There is just a subtle onion flavor and they are so crunchy too. My mom came over to visit and after just trying one she said that she could EASILY eat the entire bag! Ha ha! The Luau BBQ chips are very yummy too...just enough spice for me! Hubby actually loved these as well...he said that they have more kick to them than other BBQ chips!
These Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato chips are available in 2 oz bags, 8 oz bags and 16 oz bags and vary in price...anywhere from $.99 to $5.29. Chips are not cheap but these would be well worth the purchase (I would buy them!!!)!!

So, in my opinion...Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips are DELICIOUS!!! The flavors are robust and yummy. If we had to pick a favorite I think it would be the Luau BBQ as they are zesty and super crunchy. Our family really enjoyed these chips and I would DEFINITELY recommend them to you all! Happy snacking! :)

  2. I like kettle chips are these are some intriguing flavors!
I can't tell too much on the pics (can't get a closer look) but they look like I'd expect a hula girl to be dressed from the distance you took the pic from, anyway.

  7. I think I had these a while ago at my old job - the sweet maui onion was in our vending machine - maybe it was a different brand but it was the same flavor for sure. I loved it but most coworkers hated it which was fine - more for me!

Prem Soaps Review

I often love to highlight beauty and skin care products here on my blog and have been on the search for some really great and organic beauty companies to feature. When it comes to my skin (as I have said numerous times before) I am choosy as to what I use on it. Our skin really takes a beating...especially when exposed to the weather and indoor elements such as water, heat, cleaners and soaps . Have you noticed that most soaps today...even though they smell great...contain LOADS of chemicals and additives? I have, and honestly-it's scary. Think about it...your skin is like a giant sponge; what goes ON gets absorbed IN. So I think it is important to use only those products that will put goodness in...rather than chemicals. The other day I was searching the Internet for organic kitchen products . Specifically, I was looking for bamboo products, towels, dishes, etc. However, I was NOT prepared to find what I did! Prem Soaps is a little company nestled in Brooklyn, NY that...
