I remember when I was a new mom and Hannah came down with her first cold. I didn't know much about how to care for a sick baby and called my mom right away. My mom (who had mothered 6 children) was my favorite go-to person when I had questions because she always knew what to do. After talking to her she had recommended elevating Hannah's crib mattress, turning on a vaporizer and putting some type of chest rub on her. Well, all of those things worked wonderfully and I even thought to use saline and a bulb syringe on her nose! (I was pretty impressed with myself for remembering that little trick...although Hannah despised that process.) After surviving cold #1, there were more to come and thankfully, I was prepared. :)
Now that I am a mom of 3, I think I have learned a few things by now. So, for this review I was sent several Maty's Healthy Products to try and share with all of you! I received the All Natural Cough Syrup and the All Natural Baby Chest Rub. I was really looking forward to trying these because I don't currently have anything natural for the children when they are sick.
The first product I tried was the All Natural Cough Syrup. I am a firm believer in trying products before I give them to my children because 1. I want to know how they taste and 2. I want to know if they will work.
This cough syrup is like nothing I have ever seen before. It has the consistency of molasses and is very thick...not watery at all. I can really see how it would soothe a cough because when I tried it, it coated my throat really well and felt very soothing to me. The flavor of this All Natural Cough Syrup is just like honey and herbs and tasted very nice. Ingredients include Buckwheat Honey, Celtic Sea Salt, Lemon Balm, Cinnamon and several other  all natural ingredients. It is also gluten, dairy, corn, soy, wheat and yeast free...which is great.
Next, I opened the All Natural Baby Chest Rub. The first thing that I noticed was that there was no strong odor that I am used to when using a chest rub. It is not a greasy rub either, which is something that I have always hated with chest rubs.
Used to help boost the immune system and calm your baby, this product is also full of natural ingredients. Some of the ingredients include Coconut Oil, Lavender Oil, Chamomile Essential Oil and other wonderful herbal ingredients. I am sooo excited to try this on my baby when he gets sick this winter. HOPEFULLY he won't get sick but it is inevitable...he has two siblings that don't keep their hands and kisses off of him when they are sick so everything is shared. :)
