Vintage, Fashionable Clothing at Shabby Apple {Giveaway}

|

I have always been a fan of modest clothing. I love wearing skirts and dresses and think that doing so makes a woman look so feminine. It's hard to believe it, but I think there is a bit of modesty coming back into fashion this year...it may be slight, but at least clothing companies are doing better at offering some nice looking clothing for those of us who like to cover up a bit more.
Shabby Apple is one of those companies that offers some pretty and feminine clothes that are vintage, retro and modest too! I have never purchased anything from them, but upon perusing their website I think that there are some choices that definitely perk my interest.

At Shabby Apple, we believe in both femininity and feminism. As feminine women, we create clothing that is artful in design and crafted with a vintage-style flare. Each piece is carefully constructed to both flatter a women’s figure and maintain her mystery. As feminists, we created a company that is women-owned and operated and that donates to help other women start their own businesses. With our old-fashioned style and modern ideals, we believe the best is yet to come!

When I was visiting Shabby Apple, I noticed that while I enjoy modest clothing, their skirts were a bit too short for me. I consider "modest" to be high necklines and long, past the knee length skirts. Modest is defined differently for some people so that is why I am sharing that. While I may not consider it modest, it may be perfect for you. :)
I did, however, find some gorgeous dresses that I think would be sooo pretty on me! Sizing might be an issue, but the styles are so feminine! I really love how they have a nice selection of maternity dresses. The one pictured above is their All Wrapped Up dress...I absolutely adore the pretty ribbon and how the dress itself hangs. This dress looks very comfortable, simple and stylish at the same time.
While most of their skirts are knee-length (I prefer ankle-length skirts) I did find some that were full length! The Cape Cod Skirt is a perfect wear-every-day type of skirt. The design is simple and the color would pair wonderfully with just about any blouse or top.
Not only does Shabby Apple sell clothing, they also carry shoes and accessories! Check out the gorgeous pieces above...I am LOVING those earrings!! Drop earrings are probably my favorite and these are just one pair among many. They carry fashionable headbands, scarves, handbags and also rings too!

I personally think that prices on Shabby Apple are a bit steep, but they have some fantastic buys on their sale page. If your budget is a bit tight, just check out their special sales and you should be able to find something there. I will also say that even though the prices seem high, the quality looks fantastic and their clothing should wear for a long time.

Especially for my readers, Shabby Apple has set up a special 10% off code for anyone to use on their site! The code is mommysreviews10off and is valid until 2/8/2013. :) Enjoy!

So, if you would like to check out Shabby Apple, be sure to visit them on their Facebook Page and also their website! They truly have a wonderful selection and cater to many different likes and tastes...you should be able to find something feminine and lovely to add to your closet in this New Year!

Shabby Apple has offered to give one of my readers a $50 Gift Certificate to their site! Here are your entry options...
