Sand Gone Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

9:08 AM

***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***

This year, my daughter is turning 3. As an early birthday gift, my inlaws purchased a turtle sandbox for her. YAY! My husband and I have been talking about getting her a sandbox for a long time now but didn't think she would be big enough for one yet so we held off. As her birthday is in mid-August, my inlaws thought she would like a sandbox earlier in the summer so she could enjoy its. Now, I will say that I was not thrilled with the idea of a sandbox. I HATE sand. With a passion. I hate the way it gets in clothes, hair, diapers, between my toes...I am probably one of the few people in the world who does not like to feel sand between my toes. It is just too grainy and scratchy for me.
But, for some odd reason-children love it! Mine were no exception. As soon as we got the sandbox, my children were in it ALL DAY. And they continue to play in it often.
As a result of my sincere dislike for sand, I sought out to find a product that would help eliminate the clean-up of the sand on my babies after they played. You should have seen my bathtub after a whole day in the sand box!! You could have built a sand castle in it...seriously!!! Anyway, I found a company that offers a product called Sand Gone. I knew I had to give this stuff a try!!

Before I get into my review, here is a bit more about this company...

I am a mother of two children and our family spends alot of time at the beach. This means I've seen alot of sand.

After years of cleaning sandy children, I discovered a little trick to remove sand without using water. After a few more years of improving the ingredients, I perfected an all natural, non-toxic powder.

When the powder is brushed on sand covered skin, the sand just falls off. Your skin feels silky and clean without feeling wet or scratchy.

Lastly, to complete the ingredients, a hint of coconut fragrance was added. It will remind you of a tropical beach whether you are using Sand Gone after a day at the beach, playground, or sand box. I know you will fall in love with Sand Gone.

A Must for Beachgoers!
~ Tiffany Smith

So, you can see why I was happy for the opportunity to review Sand Gone. Any product that is created by a mom and that removes sand is definitely a HUGE plus for me!! :)
For this review I was sent a full-sized tub of Sand Gone. This is a really neat product...you unscrew the lid and inside the container is a powder-puff. You take the powder-puff out and under that is the body powder.
Next, take the powder-puff and coat it with the powder. Rub that onto the skin and watch the sand fall off!
I have tried Sand Gone for the past two days as my children have been in the sandbox alot lately...I just love the smell! It has coconut fragrance in it to make it smell really good and it does! My children also smell and look so clean afterwards!
Today, my son was literally dumping buckets of sand on his feet (oh yes...with his socks on too!!). After he was done playing, I stripped him down to his diaper and got out my Sand Gone. He was one shiny boy after I was done! NO SAND AT ALL.

Sand Gone retails for $12.95 and can be purchased directly from Sand Gone's website.

So, in my opinion...Sand Gone is a fabulous product! We don't go to the sandbox without the Sand Gone anymore. It truly works well and for someone who hates sand, I can now say confidently that the mess doesn't scare me anymore. My children love getting the powder-puff treatment too...it makes for a fun experience for everyone - mom included!!! :)
