"Fun In The Sun" Mary Kay Gift Basket Giveaway (& Review)

I don't know about you but I have been having such a great summer. My horrid thoughts and worries about life with out central air have been put to rest and in spite of having no A/C, we have survived and are actually used to the warm weather now. Hard to believe though that Christmas is just 4 months away now (did I just say that?!?) and we will soon be pulling out the sweaters and jackets. For now though, lets talk about summer. Ok, so who doesn't know about Mary Kay? This is probably one of my favorite makeup companies of all time and recently, I made an Avon lady so sad (not on purpose) when I told her that I was a Mary Kay fan. :( I wasn't trying to be rude, it is just true. Avon is a nice company but Mary Kay is just so glamorous...I love everything about them. Here is a bit more about Mary Kay Ash and how she began this wonderful company...

Ever since I first tried Mary Kay's "Journey" Eau de Parfum over 10 years ago, I was forever hooked on Mary Kay. A friend told me about this perfume and gave me a sample and I fell in love. Instantly. So, when I receive the opportunity to review Mary Kay products and share them with you, I am so excited!

For this post I was sent several products to review and share with you. I received...Mary Kay Beauty Blotters Oil Absorbing Tissues, Mary Kay Foundation Primer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum and Mary Kay® Makeup Finishing Spray.

Out of these three products it is really hard to choose which one is my favorite. First, I will tell you about the Beauty Blotters. These small pieces of tissue paper are fantastic for blotting your skin when you begin to perspire. They help to keep the shiny, oily look at bay. All you do is remove a tissue from the package and lightly press it on your skin. Areas like your forehead, under your nose and chin can be big culprits for oily shininess so these are the places I like to use these tissues. The package is small enough to fit in your handbag or purse so you can take them anywhere. They're perfect and definitely a beauty must have! Next, there is the Foundation Primer. This, ladies, is a wonderful product because it creates a smooth and silky base for your foundation. I find that having something like this is perfect for smoothing the "look" of my foundation. Too many times my face can look "pitted" and this helps to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and pores. It can even help to even your skin texture and improve your skin's complexion! What a great product. Mary Kay® Foundation Primer Sunscreen Broad Spectrum retails for $16.

Last but certainly not least is one of Mary Kay's newest products - the Makeup Finishing Spray. This spray is meant for a final touch to your makeup and dries quickly. You can also use it for a refresher throughout the day to give your makeup a nice touch-up. I love that it is so easy to use...simply hold it in front of your face and spray in a "T" motion. This ensures that you get the coverage you need and that the application will be even. Perfect for all skin types, the Mary Kay Makeup Finishing Spray retails for $18.

As you can see, Mary Kay has some lovely offerings for your summer beauty regimen.
