***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***
This is my third and final post regarding the Band Together With Mary Kay promotion. I have truly enjoyed writing about and promoting this cause which is an effort by Mary Kay to STOP domestic violence.Today's video is called "Give Hope" and the narrator is JoAnna Garcia Swisher. Viewing this short film will help to contribute to the cause so I hope that you will watch it in it's entirety.
Can you imagine being a neighbor to someone who is a victim of domestic violence? I cannot...I am sure there are issues in my neighborhood but what can I do? Well, be open with my neighbors for one and try to be there for them. These films have helped to open my eyes and realize just how dangerous and real domestic violence is and can be. It's about not having your head in the sand and being aware of what is going on around you. I hope you have learned something from this series and you are determined, like me, to be more involved and help when you can.
Mandatory Entry:
Watch the video above in its entirety, then leave a comment telling me something that you learned. :) You do not have to be a blogger to enter, but you must have a valid email where you can be reached should you win. I really never knew Mary Kay was so involved with domestic abuse awareness. It is great. These videos are wonderful. This one says the hope is inside of us. We need to remember that, even in those darkest of times.

I found it interesting to hear Krystal compare the violence to an addiction. I loved that Joanna Garcia was the narrator. This is such an important issue.

I didn't realize Mary Kay was associated with any cause at all, but to know now that they are against domestic violence, and they are even donating proceeds from their sales to support this cause is amazing. It was a powerful video. My mom was a victim of domestic abuse. Luckily she left my father. I know how the cycle can continue, and you never leave...until something tragic happens. I raise my daughter to know that no one should lay a hand on her, male or female, for no reason at all. She's 6. She may think I'm crazy but you have to set the foundation early for them to have self-worth and not to fall victim to abuse of any kind.
