Band Together With Mary Kay to Fight Domestic Violence {CLOSED) Part 3

***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***
This is my third and final post regarding the Band Together With Mary Kay promotion. I have truly enjoyed writing about and promoting this cause which is an effort by Mary Kay to STOP domestic violence.
Today's video is called "Give Hope" and the narrator is JoAnna Garcia Swisher. Viewing this short film will help to contribute to the cause so I hope that you will watch it in it's entirety.

Can you imagine being a neighbor to someone who is a victim of domestic violence? I cannot...I am sure there are issues in my neighborhood but what can I do? Well, be open with my neighbors for one and try to be there for them. These films have helped to open my eyes and realize just how dangerous and real domestic violence is and can be. It's about not having your head in the sand and being aware of what is going on around you. I hope you have learned something from this series and you are determined, like me, to be more involved and help when you can.
As with the other "Band Together" post from Mary Kay, this post also has a giveaway! It will be the same prize, which is a red Mary Kay Beauty Clutch. Inside the clutch is a Mary Kay Lash Love Mini, a Bella Belara Fragrance Wand and a Beauty That Counts Sampler Card. This clutch has a retail value of $25. Here are your entry options!

  5. I found it interesting to hear Krystal compare the violence to an addiction. I loved that Joanna Garcia was the narrator. This is such an important issue.

  15. I didn't realize Mary Kay was associated with any cause at all, but to know now that they are against domestic violence, and they are even donating proceeds from their sales to support this cause is amazing. It was a powerful video. My mom was a victim of domestic abuse. Luckily she left my father. I know how the cycle can continue, and you never leave...until something tragic happens. I raise my daughter to know that no one should lay a hand on her, male or female, for no reason at all. She's 6. She may think I'm crazy but you have to set the foundation early for them to have self-worth and not to fall victim to abuse of any kind.

The Pickle Juice Company Review

How many of you are super athletic and active during the summer months? I used to be...prior to having children and now, it seems I chase them all around so that counts as something, right? One concern that many athletes and active people have during the summer is hydration and the risk of dehydration, especially if you live in a hot/tropical climate. We life in NY state so we have four full seasons, our summers can be hot and humid and if you are active, that can be challenging. The other issue that many run into is having a sports drink that can replenish and refresh their system that is gluten free and healthy for them too. Food allergies can limit the choices when it comes to hydration drinks. So, today I am going to introduce you to The Pickle Juice Company . This company specializes in gluten-free sports drinks that will stop muscle cramps in their tracks and keep you hydrated and refreshed no matter what activities you are participating in this summer! Before I continue wi...

Carmex Healing Lotion & Healing Cream Review

Because I am a member of the Carmex Blog Squad , I am informed of and privileged to bring you reviews of Carmex's newest products! This is something that I have been doing for awhile and have really grown to love the Carmex brand. The newest products that have been introduced by Carmex are lovely and will definitely impress you as they have me. Because I am a mom, I wash my hands frequently. After diaper changes, before cleaning wounds, bathroom breaks, preparing food...all this requires clean hands. Because I usually apply lotion while I am moving and going from one thing to the next, I do not like a greasy lotion. I HATE applying a cream and having to "dry" my hands for the next half hour. What a perfectly good waste of time that is. So, I was wondering what Carmex would offer me in way of fast and quickly absorbing lotion. Before I continue, here is a bit more about Carmex for those of you who are new to their brand... Carmex® lip balm was invented in 1...

Cafe Press Review

Are any of you married to a computer guy ? Do you lovingly call him a "geek" sometimes? (my hand is raised here...LOL!) My husband is the most wonderful man in the world. He is funny, sincere, loving and VERY handy with the computer. I have issues sometimes with coding and am often heard calling "Honey? Can you come look at my blog? I don't know how to fix this!!!!" And, my charming prince comes to rescue me. My darling is going to be 31 in a week and I am SO excited to be able to celebrate another birthday with him. He also shares a birthday with our daughter which makes the day twice as fun. :) She has been talking about her birthday for WEEKS and cannot wait! This next review item is for him so if you know him (and I am hoping he doesn't read my blog for the next week :/) don't tell him about this!!!!!!!! If you are looking for perfect, unique and personalized gifts for someone special in your life I will tell you that after this post, you...
