When it comes to travel, it seems that you can never pack enough. We are a family of five and I dread having to pack us up to go anywhere. When you have children, there is so much gear that you have to drag everywhere...car seats, diaper bags, baby carriers, strollers, etc. However, that is really nothing compared to all the clothes that need to be packed! We are going to Chicago in a month and I am really not looking forward to packing for the children. Think about it, it will be cold so not only will I need warm clothes, I will also need hats, coats, and changes of clothes in case one outfit gets soiled. My youngest is 6 months old and he always needs at least one more change of clothes than the older children. Thank goodness we are driving and not flying. Taking a plane is definitely faster than driving, but I hate all the travel rules and regulations that have been put into place now. The worst one (especially for families) is the one that charges you extra money if your bags weigh too much. How in the world are you supposed to be able to fit all your luggage into just a few suitcases when you are packing for more than 2 people??? Do they really expect you to bring an empty suitcase to the airport terminal so you can un-stuff one suitcase and transfer the extra stuff the the empty one to avoid being charged extra money? Pure silliness if you ask me.

So, for this review I was sent an EatSmart Precision Voyager Luggage Scale to check out and I love it! What I love the most is the portability. It is small enough to take with you anywhere and can fit in any purse, bag or carry-on.

This scale is designed to be held by both of your hands as you pick up your luggage...which is attached to the strap that hangs down from the handle.

Designed to hold up to 110 pounds, this portable luggage scale will read in pounds or kilograms. All you do is press the "UNIT" button and it will change the reading into the desired unit. It also has a really nice digital display that has a bright blue back light, making it super easy to see and read.

To use, simply attach the scale to the handles of your bag and then hold so the bag is not touching the ground. For this review, I weighed my diaper bag. I am always being told that my diaper bag is SO heavy, I wanted to see exactly how heavy it really is. My bag weighs a grand total of 4.6 pounds. :) So, it isn't as heavy as everyone thinks. HA!

I can really see how this luggage scale would come in handy for frequent travelers  I don't travel as much as I used to but remember those days well.
