Holiday Gift Guide ~ I See Me Review & Giveaway

12:00 AM

My children love getting presents. Every year, we come home from the grandparent's houses with a car FULL of stuff...mostly gifts that the children have received. It is always so great to watch them open their presents and play with them. The funniest part is that the children tend to love the packaging more than the actual gift itself. I actually enjoy watching them get gifts rather than get gifts myself. Hubby and I sit on the couch on Christmas morning watching them, while our gifts sit unopened next to us. Anyway, I love giving personalized gifts. There is just something so very special about getting a gift that has your name on it and I think that giving these types of gifts to children is wonderful. They have them for keepsakes and (if they don't ruin them) will have them to enjoy in the years to come.
I See Me is a company that creates some really fantastic personalized gifts for children. This company is owned and operated by a husband-wife team (Maia and Allan) and they are the brains behind each product that they carry. Here is a bit more about them, and their company...
We opened for business in May of 2000, after a year of active product development. My husband Allan and I received a personalized book as a gift for our first son in 1998. While we loved the fact that it was personalized, we thought that the illustrations could have been much better and the story more customized to the child. Thus I See Me! was born.

Allan, who is a graphic designer, and I developed the first book My Very Own Name as a team. Our goal was to produce an educational book that would teach young children how to recognize letters and spell their names. After I developed the concept and wrote the book, we brainstormed together to develop the characters in the book. Allan found and hired the illustrator, and designed the book, while I wrote the business plan.We are pleased to say our books have become popular among celebrities including Courteney Cox, Brooke Shields and Jessica Alba. Our mission is to increase self esteem in children through personalized books that celebrate the uniqueness of each child. The goal of our books is to show each child how absolutely unique and special he or she is, to teach the child how to spell his or her name, and to build vocabulary skills.

I love how I See Me takes children's needs into consideration and makes learning fun. Currently, I am homeschooling my daughter and having her school be fun is so important...for her and for me. I See Me carries so many fun and educational products, it is really hard to choose which products are my favorite!!
So, for this review I was sent a Cars and Vehicles Personalized Placemat, as well as a My Very Own Fairy Tale Coloring Book.
I feel like a bad mommy blogger sometimes because I never review much for my Jacob. Hannah tends to get all the fun stuff and Jacob gets left out so much. That is why I love this personalized placemat. Jacob LOVES cars and trucks and I knew when I first saw it that he would love it.
This placemat measures 12" by 17" and is made of high-quality plastic (BPA Free and food safe) that wipes clean in an instant. I love the bright colors and fun illustrations...it makes for a wonderful addition to the table, for sure. I See Me has some really cute Christmas placemats that would be fantastic gifts! I can think of so many children who would love to have one of these for their very own. :)
The My Very Own Fairy Tale Coloring Book is nice as well. I don't care for fairies and Hannah doesn't know what they are so she doesn't understand why the people in the pictures have wings. :) Aside from the fact that this is a fairy themed book, I LOVE the concept behind this book.
The focus of this Coloring Book is to teach children how to write their name and become familiar with how it looks when spelled out. It starts with the first letter of their name and on each page another letter is added.
There are also coloring pages that children can color...I would say the age range would be older, as the pictures are small and would require the child to have some good motor skills to stay in the lines. My daughter is learning how to color in the lines, and still has a looooong way to go. :) I See Me carries several coloring book designs so you have a choice when it comes to those...which is great!
I See Me also has a fantastic Holiday Gift Guide that will help you pick out the perfect gift for that special little one in your life. The Coloring Books retail for $9.95 and the Placemats retail for $11.95 and when you order in multiples, there is always a discount offered! Be sure to check out I See Me on Facebook and you can also follow them on Twitter as well as Pinterest. I am sure they would love to meet you so stop on by and say hello! :)

So, in my opinion...I See Me is such a wonderful company. I love all the personalized books, placemats and other products that they carry. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a unique and special gift for a little one this year.

I See Me has offered to giveaway a Personalized Placemat and Coloring Book (winner's choice!) to one of my readers! Here are your entry options...
