Check out Palmer's Cult Beauty Favorites! Review & Giveaway

I have been a fan of Palmer's Beauty Products for quite some time now and the main reason is because they seriously help my skin...particularly my stretch marks. Three pregnancies can do a number on your body and  I would LOVE to get my pre-baby skin back. I know it probably will never happen but I can at least give my skin the tools necessary to do that! Hey, if you aim high you are bound to hit something, right? HA HA! Today, I am going to introduce you to some of Palmer's newest cult beauty favorites and there are loads of reasons why these products are now some of MY favorites too! Recently, CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) submitted their favorite beauty products for awards and among them were these new and exciting products from Palmer's!  A long-time authority in skin care, Palmer's always has something to offer both women and men and I have been so blessed to be able to work with them through my reviews and share them with you! Before I continue on though,...

My Favorite Job

I remember when I landed my job at the car dealership. I know I talk about it alot here but it's because it was my all time favorite job and I loved it there. :) I started my job as an evening receptionist and after graduating from college, I was promoted to the daytime receptionist and worked "normal" hours...at last. As with all dealerships, this one had a girl who worked as a title clerk and she happened to be good at her job but cut alot of corners and was very sloppy. Eventually, her and my boss had a HUGE argument which prompted this girl to quit her job and leave the dealership. Turns out, the mistakes she was making would have caused major problems for the dealership so it was better that she left. My boss really loved my work ethic and immediately, called me into her office and offered me the position of Title Clerk. From the other girl's horror stories of this position my first response was NO!! But after talking it through with my boss, I decided I would...

Loving Our Van!

When I was still working at the car dealership, I was eyeing a cute little car on the lot. I had never had a brand new car before and had always wanted one at some point. So, I decided to lease a vehicle because leasing would give me a brand new car without having to make payments for the rest of the life. I still had to make payments and it would work really well for me because I didn't do alot of driving at the time. Once I started to have children we quickly realized that we would be needed a bigger vehicle. This was shortly after our second child was born. Trying to squeeze two car seats into a four door sedan was challenging and we were doing alot of travelling and needed space for luggage. You all know how that is...when you have babies, you have gear. LOTS of gear. Strollers, Pack N' Plays, etc. Well, we knew we had to get a bigger vehicle and if we lived down south, we probably would have gone to Car Dealers in Greensboro NC for a bigger car but since we are here, we...

Food Should Taste Good Chips Review & Giveaway

I am a big time snacker. While I love snacks, I do try to eat those that are actually good for me. Why fill my body with useless calories when I can actually eat foods that are good for me all while enjoying a snack? Now that I am on a diet I am really trying to eat healthy snacks , which sometimes can be a bit challenging. ESPECIALLY if you are married to my husband who loves to snack on Hershey's chocolates, Dove Chocolates and other unhealthy candies and foods like that. :) Today, I am going to introduce you to a company that makes healthy snacking SUPER easy and terribly delicious too. :) Food Should Taste Good is a company that makes healthy tortilla chips, amongst other yummy, chip-based snacks. I have known about them for some time but have never tried their products. How I wish I had though!! If you are craving a salty snack and are tired of eating the run-of-the-mill potato chips, how about a bag of Olive Tortilla Chips? Or, maybe you are looking for a bit of garlic ...

What a Nice Way To Retire...

There are seriously some days when I say to myself "I want to retire". Then, I laugh and continue going about my day. Usually, I am having a difficult day when I say that but then, I look at my babies and remember all the FUN we have and then, I feel much better. I have recently been very disappointed with the options that are left people when it comes to retiring. I know my father has retired but is still young enough to enjoy life and all that comes with retirement. But what happens when he is older and needs a smaller house? (Right now he lives on 30+ acres with a HUGE backyard to mow and keep up...loads of work.) What options are available for him and my mom? Well, I don't exactly relish the idea of them moving to a different state because honestly, I love being able to drive to their house in 20 minutes or less. However, if they ever wanted to move somewhere warmer, I can't say that I blame them. What would you think if you had THAT pool in your backyard?? We...

Dial Kids Body & Hair Wash Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

I think my favorite time of the week is when we have bath time. Each of my children LOVE bath time and as a mommy, I love seeing them get squeaky clean. Isaac is now big enough to sit in the tub and doesn't need anything supporting him anymore. He loves to scoot around and play with all his toys. Hannah is my soaker...she will sit in the tub for hours if I let her. It is hard to get her in and out when we are in a hurry. Jacob is no longer a bather, he LOVES the shower. Go figure. His sister hates water running over her head but Jacob thinks it is a ton of fun to stand under the water. So, typically our bath night goes like this: I get the shower running and Jacob gets in. While he is in the shower, I bathe Isaac. When Isaac is all washed, I let him play and wash Jacob. When the boys are done, Hannah gets her turn. I used to bathe Hannah and Jacob together...but...Hannah started noticing that her and little brother were different in some ways (yeah, that.) and so I had to star...

Soft Scrub Advanced Surface Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

Since moving to the new house I am enjoying keeping up with the housework and daily chores. I am SO THANKFUL for this place because it is so much bigger and has some amenities that the old house did not. We do not have central air though, but hopefully we will have it next summer. That is one amenity that I will miss for sure. But, I am really really REALLY enjoying my dishwasher, granite counter tops and gas stove. I had an electric, glass top stove in the old house and honestly, gas cooks my food so much better. I had always heard that but never really believed it until now. Anyway, I am the proud owner of granite counter tops  (although the color is not my favorite) and I love them! Other than the grouted seams, they are super easy to clean and look pretty sharp too. Since moving here, I have been looking for good cleaning products for my house and have been really happy with what I have found! Recently, I reviewed a really nice all purpose cleaner from Soft Scrub that has...

Mary Kay and Palmers Give That Old-Hollywood Glamour Look to YOU!

Do you have problems with your complexion? Are uneven skin tones and rough, dry patches a problem for you? With summer just around the corner (it's almost 70 degrees here today!) it is time to start working on your celebrity skin so you will be ready for the short-sleeves and flip flops! It is hard to imagine my skin being anything than what it is right now. Pregnancy can really throw you body for a loop and put your skin through a virtual ringer. One of my biggest complaints right now is stretch marks . If you have ever had a baby then you know exactly what I am talking about here. They don't just show up on your belly, they magically appear on your thighs, arms and "other places" as well.   How come I never see stretch marks on celebrities? They always look like they stepped out of a beauty salon with perfect hair, skin and bodies. *sigh*. Well, today, I want to share some products with you that will help you achieve some of the looks that were seen at the ...

Need Some Craft Supplies?

Well, I have to say that I have really been enjoying doing home school with Hannah. I cannot believe that she knows how to write her name, count to 40, reads 3 letter words and is blossoming beautifully. Recognizing numbers is still a bit difficult for her but she is really making great strides. I think our favorite time of the day is when we break out the art supplies and do fun activities. Hannah and Jacob both benefit from art time and I like to include both of them in what we do. Now that we are full-fledged into crafty things I am on the look out for inexpensive art supplies. I discovered a company that is called Delphynium and they have been providing basic arts and crafts supplies since April of last year. I spent some time on their website today and seriously, I could take care of many of my basic art supply needs. They carry Styrofoam supplies, ink pads, wood crafts and so much more. Many of their supplies are priced under $2 so you can really go crazy shopping for your...

Yum V's Jellie Vitamins Make Staying Healthy Fun!

  When Jacob was a baby, he was found to be deficient in vitamins. This was discovered through standard blood work that was done and I was so upset that he had a problem with this. Hannah never had issues with deficiencies of any kind so this was new territory for me. I put him on an infant's liquid multi-vitamin and within several months, he was much better. Ever since then I have had both him and Hannah on a daily vitamin for their all-around health and nutrition. Both of them HATE veggies so they truly do need a vitamin to keep them balanced.  Recently, I found out about a company that makes pectin-based nutritional supplements for children. Supplements that are pectin-based will not stick to your teeth and are much healthier for your child. Yum V's Jellie Vitamins are a product of Teelah Corp . and they are definitely a yummy option when it comes to vitamin nutrition. Here is a bit more about Yum V's... All moms worry that their kids are not getting enou...
