Bike Riding Made Easy for Little Ones...Thanks to PlasmaBike! {Review & Giveaway}

I remember the very first time we ever put Hannah on a tricycle. She was so little, but we just HAD to see if she was big enough to ride it. Her little legs were too short and she could not reach the pedals, so we just pushed her around the driveway and watched her giggle and have the time of her life. Now that she is bigger, she can definitely reach the pedals and I love watching her zoom around our black topped basketball court in the back yard. Jacob is our next little "bike rider" and he is already chomping at the bit to start. We had one day last week when the weather was gorgeous and the children could go out and play. Jacob found the closest thing to a bicycle and was trying so hard to make it go. As I watched him, I felt sad that I didn't have anything for him to use that was more on his level.
Today, I am not sad any more because I have found the most amazing, simplest bike for him to use and it is called a PlasmaBike...a balance bike for beginners! Parents, this could very well be the answer to teaching your children how to ride a bike so read on for more on this wonderful toy. The PlasmaBike is a product of PlaSmart Toys and it is ingenious. Here is a bit more about PlaSmart...

Smart, simple toys. PlaSmart chooses products that are smart, simple, fun and unique and we avoid electronic toys and toys that are complicated to understand or operate. We continue to seek unique, one-of-a-kind toys that meet this smart and simple philosophy.

In addition to our smart, simple toys philosophy, we have an internal belief of "under promising and over delivering" to our retail partners with regards to products. Although there is an expectation to continually introduce new products, we resist the pull to add items for the sake of showing retailers something new. We focus on delivering products that offer a unique value for retailers and their customers alike.

Fun and unique definitely describes PlaSmart perfectly. Remember when I wrote my Perplexus review?? That too was a product from PlasMart and we still enjoy playing with that toy.
So, for this review I was sent a PlasmaBike and was sooo excited when it arrived the other day! My first shock was how lightweight this bike is. Seriously, it weighs less than 7 pounds and can be picked up easily and effortlessly with one hand.
This is probably the simplest design I have ever seen when it comes to a children's balance bike. There are no pedals which means your child can use their feet to propel the bike. You also don't have to worry about bike chains breaking or replacing batteries because there are none of those things on this bike.
The other feature that I absolutely LOVE about this bike is that the wheels are super wide. Wide wheels means the bike won't tip over easily (my son has managed to dump himself off a few times) and maneuvering the bike is simple. Oh yes, there is also a horn built into the center of the handle bars so you child can "warn" others that he/she is coming so get out of the way! Ha ha!
If your child does happen to tip the bike over, you don't have to worry about them getting hurt because the bike is very low to the ground. Chances are, your child will have one of both of their feet on the ground at all times so they will be able to easily catch themselves. The PlasmaBike is designed for children as young as 18 months, which is SO great. My youngest is pushing 11 months and is already checking out this bike. I bet he will be on it soon, knowing him.
As you can see, my 2 year old is so excited about this bike. He loves to zoom it around the house and I love that it is small enough for indoors and light weight enough to take to the park or grandma's house easily.
Oh yes...my four year old also loves this bike although she is getting a bit big for it. She had me take a picture of her riding it as well to show how much she likes it too. You can see how low to the ground it is by how bent her legs are. I love it!

The PlasmaBike retails for about $58 and you can find it at a retailer near you by using PlaSmart's Store Locator on their website. Also, be sure to check out PlaSmart on Facebook and also on Twitter! They always have something new and exciting going on that you won't want to miss! :)

So, in my opinion...the PlasmaBike is awesome! I love how simple the design is for my children...especially for my 2 year old. He is loving his new bike and I am so thrilled that he finally has his own set of wheels. I would definitely and whole-heartily recommend this product to any parent who is looking to teach their child how to ride a bike..the fun and safe way! :)

Would one of you like to win a PlasmaBike?? This giveaway is awesome...hope you will all get your entries in today! :)

The Pickle Juice Company Review

How many of you are super athletic and active during the summer months? I used to be...prior to having children and now, it seems I chase them all around so that counts as something, right? One concern that many athletes and active people have during the summer is hydration and the risk of dehydration, especially if you live in a hot/tropical climate. We life in NY state so we have four full seasons, our summers can be hot and humid and if you are active, that can be challenging. The other issue that many run into is having a sports drink that can replenish and refresh their system that is gluten free and healthy for them too. Food allergies can limit the choices when it comes to hydration drinks. So, today I am going to introduce you to The Pickle Juice Company . This company specializes in gluten-free sports drinks that will stop muscle cramps in their tracks and keep you hydrated and refreshed no matter what activities you are participating in this summer! Before I continue wi...

Carmex Healing Lotion & Healing Cream Review

Because I am a member of the Carmex Blog Squad , I am informed of and privileged to bring you reviews of Carmex's newest products! This is something that I have been doing for awhile and have really grown to love the Carmex brand. The newest products that have been introduced by Carmex are lovely and will definitely impress you as they have me. Because I am a mom, I wash my hands frequently. After diaper changes, before cleaning wounds, bathroom breaks, preparing food...all this requires clean hands. Because I usually apply lotion while I am moving and going from one thing to the next, I do not like a greasy lotion. I HATE applying a cream and having to "dry" my hands for the next half hour. What a perfectly good waste of time that is. So, I was wondering what Carmex would offer me in way of fast and quickly absorbing lotion. Before I continue, here is a bit more about Carmex for those of you who are new to their brand... Carmex® lip balm was invented in 1...

Cafe Press Review

Are any of you married to a computer guy ? Do you lovingly call him a "geek" sometimes? (my hand is raised here...LOL!) My husband is the most wonderful man in the world. He is funny, sincere, loving and VERY handy with the computer. I have issues sometimes with coding and am often heard calling "Honey? Can you come look at my blog? I don't know how to fix this!!!!" And, my charming prince comes to rescue me. My darling is going to be 31 in a week and I am SO excited to be able to celebrate another birthday with him. He also shares a birthday with our daughter which makes the day twice as fun. :) She has been talking about her birthday for WEEKS and cannot wait! This next review item is for him so if you know him (and I am hoping he doesn't read my blog for the next week :/) don't tell him about this!!!!!!!! If you are looking for perfect, unique and personalized gifts for someone special in your life I will tell you that after this post, you...
