Baby Food

Little Duck Organics Review & Giveaway

11:03 AM

Next month, my baby girl will be celebrating her FIRST birthday!! I feel like it was just yesterday when I first held her in my arms. Can it really be that a whole year has flown by already?!? Wow. Baby Rebekah as been such a different baby from her siblings. She has breast fed differently, slept differently, LOVED to be swaddled, and loves to sleep with me. Every baby is so different but she really takes the cake. One thing that she has NOT done is eat baby food. She hates the pureed, jarred foods and from the beginning, wanted to eat the real food instead of the baby food. I did something with her that is called "Baby Led Weaning", or BLW. It was something that I had never heard of and it basically means that you feed baby table foods from the time that they start eating solids. So, if I am eating spaghetti, I will give her spaghetti. If I am eating a hamburger, I will give her pieces of a hamburger patty along with assorted toppings. She eats pretty much everything that I eat. In the beginning though, I would give her large chunks of carrots, apples, oranges, celery, leaves of lettuce, etc. Because she had no teeth, she would just suck on everything and gum it to death. It was a totally new experience for me but one that I have grown to love.
Now that she is almost one, she has learned the pincer grasp and is able to pick up small pieces of food and put them in her mouth. This is a developmental milestone that is wonderful, especially for babies who are trying to self-feed. Recently, I found a company that I wish I knew about sooner! Little Duck Organics is a super cute company that offers snacks for little ones, in a form that they can pick up, enjoy and easily digest. In other words...super snacks for little humans. :) One thing that I love about Little Duck Organics is that all of their foods are certified Gluten Free and don't contain any preservatives or added sugar. They are also certified organic! Giving our babies nothing but the best shouldn't be difficult and Little Duck Organics makes is SO easy.
For this review, Little Duck Organics graciously provided me with a whole bunch of their products to try out and I wanted to share my thoughts with you all today! I wasn't aware that these products even existed so you can imagine my excitement when I received four boxes from Little Duck Organics, bursting with yummy treats for my little one.
Little Duck makes some amazing, wholesome and hearty cereals for your baby. I was sent the Mighty Oats Cereal in the Coconut Banana and Naked flavors. The other available flavor is Cinnamon Blueberry. This cereal contains 5 ancient grains, which far surpasses any cereal that I have ever fed any of my babies! The grains are varied by package but basically, you will find Organic Oat Flour, Organic Amaranth Flour, Organic Sorghum Flour, Organic Millet Flour, Organic Buckwheat Flour and Organic Flaxmeal in the Might Oats Cereal. There is so much substance to this cereal, it isn't just runny and smooth like typical cereals. It is very filling and Rebekah enjoyed it very much!
I was really impressed with the Tiny Yogurts as well. Again, they look NOTHING like the usual yogurt melts that I would give my babies. These look just like small chunks of fruit! Little Duck Organics Tiny Yogurts come in three flavors...Mango & Goji, Raspberry & Coconut and Pomegranate & Acai. These yummy, freeze dried fruit and yogurt snacks are also are USDA Certified Organic, Project Non-GMO verified, gluten-free, kosher and nut free. Rebekah enjoys these as well and they are just the right size for her little hands. :)
You can also find Tiny Gummies at Little Duck Organics! These cute little duck-shaped morsels are probiotic gummies for children ages 2 and up. Rebekah is not even one yet so she doesn't get these but big brother, who just turned 3 LOVES them! He practically begs me for his "vitamins" and gobbles them up (my other two children love these as well). The flavors you can pick from are Carrot & Goji and Pomegranate, Blueberry & Acai.
And then, there are our favorites. The Tiny Fruits and Tiny Fruits + Veggies snacks! These aren't "puffs", or cereal but actual pieces of fruits and veggies in various flavors and sizes. All of these snacks are finger food sized and again, are perfect for those itty bitty fingers.
The Tiny Fruits + Veggies are freeze-dried peas, pineapple and apple snacks that are filling and are perfect for an appetizer or snack. These are my "go-to" snacks for when we are at church or if I am trying to get something done and need a snack for Rebekah to keep her occupied while I am busy. The Strawberry Mango (Tiny Fruits) are probably Rebekah's favorites. She loves strawberries and these taste SO good. She loves them!

I keep these in my diaper bag and they are easy to get to in my kitchen. Basically, I keep them with me wherever I go. As you can see by the smile on her face, Tiny Fruits are her favorite! I love that you can have a veggie option thrown in there as well...babies need their greens!! Tiny Fruits + Veggies come in two flavors: Banana, Mango and Edamame as well as Peas, Pineapple and Apple. Tiny Fruits are available in four flavors: Apple & Banana, Apple & Mango, Strawberry & Mango and Blueberry & Banana. SO yummy!!
