Internet Marketing Worked For Us!

When my husband and I were first married, we never even thought of getting a dog. A year after our first child was born we started to discuss having a dog and the benefits of getting a dog while our child was still small and could get used to a pet. The more we talked about it, the more we wanted to do it. We really wanted to get a Golden Retriever and the idea of having a "child-friendly" dog was very appealing to us. So, we began to search and we were shocked at the amount of puppies that are out there! Well, our search led to a really wonderful breeder in Ohio and we fell in love with a small, 6 week old Golden Retriever that they had. We wanted a female and so we named our puppy, Lily. Oh how wonderful it was to take the 9 hour trip to Ohio and be able to pick her up when the time was right! She was the cutest, most adorable puppy on the planet and we loved her at first sight!!! Time went on and we made it through the house breaking and the other "things" t...

Purex UltraPacks Liquid Laundry Detergent Review

As you have all probably noticed by now, I have two toddlers. My daughter is 3 and my son is 19 months. They keep me VERY busy and I am constantly amazed at the amount of laundry they go through in a given week. I usually do upwards to 2 loads of toddler laundry per week. If I don't do it that often or even more often than that, they seriously run out of clothes to wear. Today I did their laundry and it took two loads to complete it...wow. When it was just hubby and I the laundry pile was much smaller and I had always heard people talk about when the children come how the laundry increases. I can't say that I didn't believe them...I just had to really experience it to understand it fully. Needless to say, now I understand. :) Well, as a Purex Insider I have yet another opportunity to introduce you all to a new product that Purex is bringing out and this one is very nice. Purex UltraPacks are convenient, small (yet powerful) packets of liquid laundry detergent . Usi...

Horseback Riding Anyone???

Growing up, I lived in a huge farmhouse. There was a large barn and several buildings on the property as well, but my parents were not farmers. We only had barn cats and a few dogs but no real farm animals. I have always admired horses for their strong builds, majestic airs about them and for their unique personalities. I think if I had a horse growing up I would have had a better appreciation for them today...but I honestly am a bit scared of them. It is probably because they are so big...but the thing about most horses (that I have heard) is that they are big but very gentle. I know this is true, but I am always afraid of getting run over by one when I see one running. I have known so many people who are just in love with horses and it's no wonder why. My cousin has always been into horseback riding and has been in countless shows with them. Professionally speaking I have lost track of where she is today but I know her love for her horses is undying. I have another friend wi...

Enjoy Fantastic Portion Control With Yum Yum Dish!!

We have just begun a new year and I bet I can tell you what most people's new year's resolution is for 2012. I know it has been mine in the past and that resolution is to lose weight. Yes, I am sure we have all added a few pounds here and there from the holidays...although because I am pregnant, I have an excuse. HA HA!! Seriously though, if your new year's resolution is to lose some weight then this next review will be sure to interest you. I believe that it isn't a program, course, pill or drink that causes a person to lose weight. My personal opinion is that in order to properly lose weight you need to focus on portion control . It isn't what you eat, it is how  much you eat. My husband is a good example of this. He is 6' 2" and looks like a bean pole. He is very thin and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. The reason I cannot figure this out is because he eats so much junk food, absolutely despises vegetables and lives on carbohydrate...

Delicious Post-Holiday Recipes from Carapelli Olive Oil

Well, the holidays are behind us...hard to believe, right? I am floored at how fast they came and went. It seems they go faster and get busier as the years go by. Anyway, we still have at least one holiday party to attend in a few weeks and I know some of you are still in the partying mood too! If you are a hostess and are looking for some great menu ideas, may I share some with you today? These recipes come from Carapelli Olive Oil , which is Italy's market leader in extra virgin olive oil and olive oil in general. I am not Italian, but I love using olive oil for my cooking AND baking needs. It adds such wonderful flavor to any recipe. So, without further ado, here are some great recipes for you to try and really "wow" your guests. These recipes hold a robust Tuscany flavor and will be sure to please. Enjoy! :) ******** Tuscan Roast Turkey Serving Size: 16 1 16-pound young turkey Kosher salt, to taste 1 cup Tuscan Herb Paste 1 teaspoon fenne...

Getting A New Job

Back in my college days I was studying to be an Administrative Assistant. At the time, the current job at which I was employed had absolutely nothing to do with working in an office and I was anxiously looking for employment that better suited my future degree. I scoured the newspaper’s “Help Wanted” section weekly, watched for ads to pop up in local business and kept my eyes on the Internet as there are always a plethora of job postings there. I waited and waited…interviewed at several locations and still heard nothing. One day, I saw an ad for a local car dealership that was looking for a part-time secretary to work evenings (5:30PM – 9PM) and on Saturdays. Immediately I was excited because this would give me freedom during the day for school and would definitely accommodate my schedule. So, I went in and filled out an application. I was pretty confident that I would get a call for an interview as I had been in college for over a year and was nearing my graduation date. Well, I hea...
